2.
Good coaching can turn what would be a sub-.500 team into a .500 team and a .500 team into a winning team, and so on... I think Dan Hooks at WO-S is a prime example. Also, look at all the years Kirbyville lost. They all of a sudden didn't get a talent infusion. The talent was developed through a program, which comes from good coaching. And with good coaching, you must have stability. Again, Alvarez and especially Hooks are good coaches who have been around long enough to build a stable program at their respective schools. You can't have one without the other and expect to have a winning tradition. Jasper hasn't had a good coach willing to commit to the program long term since Walkoviak.
This is so true
Keep your head up Jasper...This is High School football...Lot's of things can happen...(and usually does. ;D)
I hope so but man it's hard to look at this were you guys are just rolling
 4. Im a Bulldog to the bone and what im seeing this year is heart breaking the O shows it can move the ball but there is now real flow to the O and the D what can I say it's bad just look's like the kids are not in the right place 95% of the time It's very hard to look at the I love my Jasper Bulldogs Class of 95 For Life.
 5.
What's the problem in Jasper? Young?
Young yes but they are getting better each game and the coach's need to get some beef on that D-Line cause we have kids on the line that are 150-175 going up against 6-3 6-4 260 O-Linemen getting pused every were and when that happens your LB can't do there jobs. And that Stack I is ok but you have to mix it up speard the filed OPEN UP THE DARN PLAYBOOK ARE YOU WILL BE AT HOME COME PLAYOFF TIME
 6. Love my Bulldogs but going to be a long night.

Coachin em up should get some of that stuff out of the way. I would also just like to see this offense with Middleton at QB and Morrisey's speed coming out of the tailback position. I personally think it would work better and the offense would blossom. Screens with Morrisey? Oh yes, that would be nice. I will support him at QB though because I am not sure this coach is going to give in to changing anything. Now would be the time and with Morrisey banged up, the opportunity is there to let Middleton go and he may have to go at QB, NOT that I am wishing for Morrisey to be hurt. I pray he is ok, he is a warrior and good player.
We need to run the spread alot more with a two back set and run the option off of that with armstrong and morrisey at the RB and middleton at QB. D-line and the O-line need to wake up but they did ok tonight and these coaches need to wake up I understand you not want to show everything till dist. but you have to open up that PLAYBOOK!!!!!
Nope, we're going Stack I all the way baby!  ::)
Stack I will have us sitting at home come playoff time >:( >:(

 10.
He threw three balls into linemen the other night. 5 is an excellent effort player. He is a RB that they have put at QB. This is nothing against him, but he is just not built for the QB spot. He will give it his all though and I admire that. They do have a couple of other guys that can play safety. The coaches are blaming it on effort when some of it is scheme. If they do not adjust to the strengths of their personnel instead of trying to make them what they are not, it makes it harder on the kids to perform. I still see a good bit of talent on this team. I just remember 5 shooting through hole from that backfield last year. Whatever happens, I am pulling for the kids and hope they improve and learn. I personally think a few adjustments from the coaching side could help instead of trying to blame it all on lack of effort. But, just my opinion. :-\
In order for our QB to do well he has to be in the spread so he can see the whole feild better than he can under center he was able to make some good run's in the spread and can we please run a reverse or a screen
 11. Jasper has a good team just have to put it all together dist. is were it counts but you don't want to go into dist with out a win to much talent to be this bad.
 12.
This team is definitely showing their youth. I think these coaches have alot of this guys playing the wrong positions. This team has potential but you have to have the right set up to show it.
The D-Line need's help only when #74 was in the game they were able to stop the run but he has to go both way he played hard last night theses coach's need to get it together we don't even have a back up QB.
 13.
He's lookin good for his first year at quarterback  ;) needs to improve on throwing
True he's getting better they need to put him in more spread so he can use that speed
 14. WE played we lost it's over time to worry about next friday.
 15.
no need to comment on the game, the scoreboard literally tells all. I havent missed a game in quite a while, the boys looked as good as any team we have put on the field. spoke with a few after the game and they said it really isnt a very good measuring stick of what we will face in district, so dont read too much into it. As for the injury to JRich, its an absolute shame, its very similiar to what happened to AB last year. It was very far behind the play, and afterwards no class was shown by Jasper, they have lost a ton of respect from this town....James may not play again and theres nothing an 17 yr old kid in hs can do to deserve having his season ended in such a way. It's bs if u ask me. And i believe from the stare their side got from Credeur from almost midfield, he feels the same...Asher was a bruiser last night, and our D was head hunting. 56 points is no fluke, hope to see them again and crack skulls again. Vidor is off the hook lol, we now hate u jasper.....
HATE is a strong word look it's football it happen's and it's not alway's right and you know what on some filed in texas it will happen again he did not mean to hurt that kid you need to watch your words.THIS IS FOOTBALL NOT GOLF!!!!!!!!!!
 16.
well folks i was'nt gonna get on here but after reading all these comments lets just say the devil made me do it!!!
I played lumberton from 7 grade to 12 we never lost to you guy's I finished in 95 so I was there. Im just say we put it to yall but let me just say this Lumberton has got it going on for these past few year's and it was a good game for you guy's friday hope nothing but the best.
 17.
Land95- just to let you know we are currently in the year 2010. Not 5,10,15 or 20 years ago. No one cares who you beat in 1978
Yea ok  ;D :D ;) :)
 18.

A few things. Lumberton and Jasper both played hard. Jasper is young and that showed. Lumberton is fortunate that Jasper made some "young" mistakes. Jasper is very talented, but needs the coaches to improve there schemes and crispness. I think Jasper could be very good with alterations to this offense that Bickham is set on running. The hit on the kickoff was a penalty and called one. It was not good, but I do not believe it was with ill intent. The coaches do need to address this with these kids. That one especially and I pray that the injured recovers quickly. These things happen even when they shouldn't or didnt have to. Two penalties should have been called on Lumberton touchdowns. Tripping behind the runner none the less on one that was in the broad open and was obvious and in the late part of the game one of the line men had the left arm and jersey of one of Jasper's LB's that was reaching out to make the tackle. That is part of the game as well, but they should get the obvious ones and those were two of them. Fumbles and mistakes hurt Jasper. Lumberton took advantage. Both teams should fair well. Jasper may do better in their district than Lumberton just from seeing them tonight. Speed can hurt Lumberton. Passing can hurt Jasper. Good luck to both. It is just the first game.
You are a real good Bulldog fan.  All you saw was how talented Jasper is, Lumberton has no talent, and all the "gift" plays Lumberton got that enabled them to beat a superior Jasper team.  Pretty good analagy for a team that got pasted.
your team played good let it go and get ready for next week dont strat thinking lumberton is a power house you were a door mate for jasper for many many year come on get real good win for yall there is many more to be played dont it's about time yall beat been a long time
 19. From what I saw last night as a Jasper Bulldog Fan im ok with it cause there is a big up side for jasper you can only get better it was a good test for the Bulldogs of Jasper. The running game put in work last night we need a little more spread in the game plan and the DB have to get better and they will so by the time Dist. comes around they will be ready. Jasper is loaded for the next 3 to 4 years!!!
 20.

Maybe there is some hope......... The freshmen won. The JV won. Just maybe Jasper can win even with ???? how many freshmen starting?  ::) All I have read about Jasper is a bunch of excuses. First it was the QB being hurt. Then it was 9 freshmen starting on varsity or 5 or 3  ;D  So, I guess if Lumberton wins there will be an excuse for it. How about just strap on your helmet and pads and show up to play? I tend to focus on the positive things that our team brings to the field. We are picked to fight it out for last place in our district. No pressure on us  ;D The L-TRAIN will be making a stop in Lumberton friday night. Let's get this season started! Go Raiders!
Well said now lets play some football and stop all of the crying.. ;)
No crying JASPER WILL BE READY good luck to both teams tonight
 21. The Freshmen that are on varstiy and good real good just because they are freshmen does not they can't play and jasper is loaded for the next 3 to 4 years casue that j.v. is huge and the freshmen are good.
 22. Very Nice that pic. of those football's is at the filed house right??
 23.

bigdog90 did u see tha 50 yard run againt bc thursday night? man he's fast
what Ben Armstrong do? Much noise he talked about whooping Kirbyville this year. They better create some kind of passing game if they wanna stay in the game this year.
Ben get's about 5 to 7 years every time's he touches the ball he had a 50 yard run on BC. Ben has ok speed he's a power back it took at least three BC players to get him down each time the boy is strong I the line can open up a hole he will do work!!!
 24.

The QB for jasper does have 4.4 speed that's a true stament! Jasper has a big line bigger than last year if they can get there head's in the game they will be ok jasper is young but that's not alway's a bad thing the coach's have to do a good job with the kid's the talent is there.
I'm not questionig the 4.4 speed...What about the 9 Freshman starting for Jasper...And the remarks about Ford being scared to play in the Ozen game..
me myslef I don't belive for is scared of anybody that's my take on it he's a good player I hop he has a great year just not when he play's jaspere
