  1. Jeremy Green is what made me successful against the best pitchers in the area last year and helped me get my scholarship to LSU-shreveport. I didn't take lessons from anyone else. but the results for me speak for themselves.
  2. i think whoever that dang rightfielder is for lumberton is pretty legit. that guy runs everything down.
  3. Does anybody know who were the state champions for each division last year??
  4. I dont think that there is ever a "worst" team in any league. baseball is a funny game and i think that our game against our JV team just proved that ANYBODY can beat ANYBODY in this game. So, therefore, there is NEVER a worst team.
  5. my vote goes to rowell from LCM he impressed me more than Buchannan did..not taking anything away from Buchannan...i know he is very good.
  6. yea bigred, this is a forum for opinions.....to the people that the topic applies to. You apparently have no other life than this forum site. Do you even play serious baseball?because a real baseball player isn't going to just go from forum to forum castings numbers of different oppinions over things that just dont apply to them. A real baseball player just observes things that happen to other teams, doesn't comment, unless it is a compliment. I dont see ANYBODY else on this website that goes through different forums putting down every team he doesn't like just because they have nothing else to do...except for you. So, get a life, mind your own business, and have a little bit of class. The whole "you must be from vidor" thing is a little overrated. As well, i know a lot of people from bridge city that have a lot of class, and the way you are representing them is making them and all of bridge city look ignorant; so just stick to your own business.
  7. is jay bruce sitting the bench??...i don't see any stats from him.
  8. thank you, and to bigred...if those calls happened to you in the same situation...you would be saying different i promise...you didn't see the calls.
  9. jv hit the ball and played exceptional defense...we put as much work into jv as we do varsity...varsity had too many errors and catching mistakes such as not blocking and letting the ball hit the glove and go behind him to win. plus the two runs that put the jv ahead were off of a retarded little league umpire that doesn't know what a balk is. he called a balk for the pitcher bringing his hands together too slow coming set. and then for having his arm dangling in front of him before he came set. the umpire said he has to have his arm behind him or it is a balk. both of those calls put the winning runs at third base. thank you retard umpire.
  10. i'm not taking credit away from him in any way tho i didn't meen disrespect
  11. womak wasn't the only person with a good hit tonight...please tell me somebody saw more than just that
  12. the center fielder threw the ball to the shortstop and the shortstop made a decent throw to the plate that was way on time, but the ball DID shorthop the catcher, although it should have been caught, it wasn't. but that is how he scored. All in all though, there should have never been a pickoff...and we beat them every way possible but the score. and i DO believe that everyone is underrating us and overrating nederland. in my oppinion we have proven ourselves time and time again. last game of last year, we beat lcm. this year we beat png...we've proven that we are as good as every "power house" team that is in this district and still we havn't gotten very much credit, though we have received some...just think about that.
  13. Ja Nixon was the young closer for us that we brought in in the seventh....i just want stuff to get cleared up so that not all of the blame gets put on him. nixon was pitched very well. we had 2 outs 2 strikes on the guy at the plate who was not a very good hitter, and he picked when NOBODY called for it. although this was the LAST play that lost the game, lets not forget other situations that hurt us. center field had a past ball. diving play missed by right field with two outs no need for it but cost us another run. baserunning mistakes at second base. so, i'm just making sure that not all of the blame gets put on nixon, it wasn't all of his fault. but, congrats to nederland.
  14. this game depends on who gets pumped up first...if lumberton takes the lead early...they wont let up...but if they get down in the first innings...they will self destruct and get massacred....but my prediction... ned:4 lumberton:2
  15. who did what...please notify what happened
  16. You guys are in for a shock at who vidor is throwing....just wait til u see..
  17. hey grandslam...sorry about that post...ur right i did read it wrong, i was tired from the game and idk just read it wrong sorry about that and thanks for the support.
  18. I've heard of Elhert hitting up to 94, not taking anything away from Elhert in any way, shape or form i KNOW he's a great pitcher...but i dont think that i have seen harder then 89-90 from him. I faced Harwood tonight and he can definatly bring it, needs better command of his curve ball. I've seen him hit 88 on jugs at Lamar pitching camp; and i have been told of him touching 92.

Harwood is a very good pitcher and did have 14k's, but the Pirates had timely hitting and played excellent defense. Neither of PNG's runs were earned. I think Vidor had 4 hits with a triple and double. NO...the first run WAS earned actually. first there was a leadoff triple and then a sac fly. dont make us look more underrated than we already are please.
