Yep just got the news. All Scrimmages cancelled. It will not be made up.

JV and Freshman games for tomorrow have been cancelled. Varsity has moved up to 4pm and will be indoors. Fans will not be allowed inside due to lack of space.

7 on 7 is fun to watch, the kids love to play,and can be competitive. Just gotta remember its just good drills and practice for DB's, Receivers, Backs, and QB's. Most schools play alot of JV within the lineups for reps and to see how they perform. Good job for the Broncos having a good tournament and good luck in the 2018 season.

as I understand ... Sterling beats Channelview next week they are number three and 1st seed in D2 .. we needed our 13 point spread tonite to have a chance to make it as #4. with Channelviews upset..makes a 4 way tie for the bottom two places.. love 21-6a football...

Sterling D line and Linebackers did a great job. Secondary had some problems with the pass. The Offense just couldn't get going against their strong defense. Now they did place themselves in alot of yardage situations due to self inflicted penalties. 1st-20's and 1st-15's you cannot do against NS's defense and even alot 3rd -15's. The few times the offense started to move the ball and get some momentum they would get a penalty or fumble. Did see some promising new plays run by the offense. Hopefully we can start connecting on pass plays. Also forgot to update status on Modeste and Corbett. They will start game play at Homecoming in two weeks against GCM. They have been practicing.

It was an exciting game. Sorry I don't post during the game (bad mojo). Sterling is such a big play offense and that puts alot of work on the defense but the boys held strong. Hopefully we can get some more time on the field with the O and give the D a break. We cannot have them on the field that long against North Shore in two weeks. Several ejections tonite!

reliable source. if you look at my past posts all have been on the money. plus i saw them personally in pads at practice. Don't know about the GMC player. They have not practiced until the board gave the ruling. I know the coach had them under a strict contract with him for their personal off field and on field behavior. What the kids did was wrong and I do not condone what they did. Now saying that, all kids need a good role model and support system and Coach Sawyer brings that to the team and those kids. Hope that they learned what they can loose by wrong decisions. Official source response in forth coming. Wish all kids on both teams luck for a good healthy season. GO RANGERS side note GO BIG NED

yes they started back this week. Be nice to have Modeste size back in the back field to take some hits off Hill. Also having him back at DE is going to help out alot. Hopefully Corbett has improved on arm strength but he is quick on his feet.

School Board issued discipline on Corbett and Modeste. They are suspended from play till the North Shore Game 9/22. Looking forward to THE GAME Friday night. GO RANGERS !!!!

sterling struggled first half. Lots of blitzing by CL linebackers. Theyvsettlrd down after half time. Big catch by #12 Davis in 3rd quarter flipped the switch on for the offense. Liked what I saw in second half on both sides. Defense needs to tackle better. Lots of hits in backfield but allowed yards for gain after the hits. I'll watch film and post more later.

watched film and as i said Sterling was without their starting backfield (qb and both backs) and I learned three oline starters were benched for missing a practice unexcused. Now a break down 1st quarter "1st string" sterling 6 plays and fumbled after moving the ball to BH 38 BH 12 plays and scored 6 plays sterling scored 8 plays BH scored 2d quarter "second string" 11 plays BH scored 6 plays Sterling punt 3 plays Sterling Defensive score ( big hit not bad pitch) 5 plays BH half 1st teams "" 11 plays turn over on downs BH 7 plays drove to goal line One ref called TD one didnt ..good def stand by the hill either way 11 plays BH score 4th "all play" 3 plays punt sterling 11 plays score BH 3 plays sterling punt 2 plays -end PRACTICE GAME now what i saw sterling needs work on secodary. BH has a real good passing game. Liked what i saw with that but defense needs to work on run. It was a great Practice for both teams and no one wins a scrimmage. They just learn points that the coaches need to see and players need work. I really hope this FUN practice between our local boys continue till BH moves up to 6a and we can become a blue on blue rivalry in the future. Good luck to both teams.... excuse any typos lol still waiting on official confirmation on the QB and RB playing status. UIL rules and school rules have to be looked at before finalized.

I'll update more info later. #1 Offense without starting backfield (qb, and both backs). Defense played no blitz packages or special coverages, just basic (game plan). Secondary needs work though to many blown coverages but I'll watch hudl later and post more later. Great down field blocking by the Z receiver and two great across middle catches by that kid. One that's needs to be watched this season. UPDATE: Just received information that SR QB Corbett and SR RB Modeste possibly out for season. Reason from off season problem. NOT CONFIRMED yet.

Will be there. Cant wait to see the Rangers new spread offense and 4-3 D. Kids have been working hard. Matt Corbett (1) and M. Garcia (2) both seniors were the starting QB's for Sterling. Not going to knock the boys or coaches because leaving a system they just learned and they are learning another. Moving to a spread and a 4-3 D. Good thing is most of your starters are juniors. Now Sterling looked lethargic (humid and hot at 10am). Need to work on drive. Corbett needs to concentrate on not running out of pocket to soon and making his reads. He is fast and can run but needs to work on his passing. Garcia needs more time throwing and not not just handing ball off. Secondary relies on their speed alone and not position. They need to concentrate on the assignments. Now this is only a scrimmage and mistakes will be made. That's why we do them. We have a strong young squad and will see improvements from the boys and staff. GO RANGERS!!!! (also go BIG NED)

Sawyer from Hutto was in for final interview this week. Front Runner for job. Other two interviews were Williams (current OC) and Kevin Flannigan from Beaumont West Brook. We wil find out Monday. Good Luck to all three Coaches.
