  1. 38-7 The Goose Granted, Rayburn isn’t great, but they way GCM played tonight, is a huge step forward for the program. That’s the best game I’ve seen them play in 3 years, they scored more points tonight than they scored all of last year. Good job boys, having new coordinators seems to have helped

  3. This is getting outta hand, I saw that 247sports which is a branch of cbssports.com has official 7on7 state rankings. I hear there’s a Rec league slow pitch softball player who can hit a homerun over a 300ft fence everytime he comes up to bat...think he will get drafted? Non sense!!!

  5. LEE will be Bc gccisd won’t have 2 teams in same classification and not compete in same district. Crosby was close to that d1 number can’t remember exact number, if they aren’t d1 they will be with BH, Dayton, Ned, PNG, etc.
  6. My prediction for this 5A D1 district PAM GCM CROSBY REL CANEY CREEK PORTER NEW CANEY FRIENDWOOD
  7. All the campuses don’t compete as independent from one another. Varsity athletics will only be housed at the 11th and 12th grade campus, the other 2 campuses are just the undersquads for the 11&12 th campus. The reason for multiple campuses in said model, is strictly to make use of existing infrastructure and to provide a more conducive environment for tHe underclassmen. So GCM-RG74-WR8 was absolutely correct in his statemenT, and understanding of the one high school model which is being kicked around.

  9. at least 1 school in baytown is playing for a state championship! great job Bulldogs!!! bring it home!
  10. #BestInBaytown??? really? what exactly are y'all the best at in Baytown? GCM volleyball swept RSS this year, last time GCM baseball played RSS they beat them, GCM has been to the football playoffs in its brief history more times than RSS has in over 20 years. So pump the brakes with this Best in Baytown business, you haven't made the playoffs yet, you still need to beat Channelview, and RSS defense got 79points hung on it 2 weeks ago. im happy for the kids, to have something to play for this time of year and i hope rss makes the playoffs, but it's comments like your best in baytown hashtag, i mean is being the best in baytown really something to brag about, look at the combined records of GCM and REL, you've had success over a LEE team recently who hasn't been the ganders of old in more than 10 years, because when the 2 were on equal ground ross was NEVER boss, and you haven't played GCM enough for that to even matter yet. Being best in baytown amongst the football teams this year and last, is like taking the ugly kid to homecoming, at least ya gotta date right...best in baytown, that's funny, stay classy rangers.... ps y'all gave up 79 pts last week...
  11. Huge game tonight, should be a good one. Likely to be the last District game these 2 ever play against each other in boys sports. It's been a pleasure and honor playing against all the teams in the district, farewell tour starts in earnest tonight; who y'all got?
  12. I'm sure this will piss someone off, but oh well. Hypothetically speaking of course, if I was a dad and my son decided to "make a stand", and said "stand" was him going to play volleyball during "baseball" season, in the middle of district play, id ring his damn neck, I'm not in the business of stepping on other parents toes, because being a parent is not an easy task, and we all want for our kids to make all the right decisions and be the best at everything, but you're missing an opportunity here, to teach a lesson. Making stands are character defining, ego-boosting, admirable, courageous, and some instances, down right stupid. You can choose what category it falls into. I'm only basing my "opinion off of "your" post and the info in this thread. *the players played in a meaningless volleyball game that coach didn't want them playing in because the risk of injury could derail any playoff dream. And the players played in the game anyway, and luckily came out injury free. Coach found out and punished the kids who played, resulting in 2 other kids getting an opportunity to play a signifucant role int a key game, which you lost. I think the pnemaking the true "stand" here, is the Coach. Did his team suffer from not having the services of 2 key players? Yeah it seems so, but coach didn't make that decision, that punishment to the team, was dealt by the selfish players who went against the will of their coach, and by all means common sense, by playing in a meaningless volleyball game, which now holds so much more significance, than it ever should have. The kids let their team down, the coach "made a stand"
  13. What's going on, who got benched and why? Score?
  14. GCM returns their entire pitching staff, the only starters that left via graduation were Bell(CF) Price(2B). Lets not forget about the new kid that will be on the mound this year, who throws consistently 88-91mph, and Morales will only be a jr, Cherry will be a soph. I like GCM as the fave(a little biased though) with PNG a close 2nd, and the way this district was last year, its a crapshoot for the final playoff spots. But lets not get ahead of ourselves, we haven't even gotten to week 2 of the football season yet, Lets enjoy this for a while.
  15. In 21 5A, Crosby and KP should be top 2, and BH and Porter will find themselves in the playoffs as well. In 22 5A theres going to be a pretty good team sitting at home come play off time. You have 5 legit play off teams, with GCM, PNG, and NED taking the top 3 spots, while LUM and VIDOR fight for the 4th spot. GCM is loaded, having only graduated 3 srs, 2 of which were starters. PNG and GCM will fight for the Dist Championship, and NED will get the 3 seed.
  16. The Baseball Legends will be hosting a wooden bat tourney at Highlands Sports Assoc Complex on may 9-10, for 7u thru 14u select teams. Interested teams, please leave info on thread or msg me, and I will promptly be in touch. Limited to first 12 teams per division. AA-MAJORS
