  1. If Silsbee can hold on to the ball, they win big. If not they still win, but it a close one.....
  2. Sorry, I wish it weren't so, but I have to go with Dayton on this one.
  3. I couldn't agree with you more Aggie. Haper has alot of talent, and I think he is getting a little better every game, but making good decisions on the last two drives of a game and making good decisions the whole game is the difference between a winning season, and a hard push in the playoff or a third place spot and nowhere in the playoffs. Maybe not even a third place spot in this district. No one is perfect , but Silsbee has to much talent this year and needs to become a well rounded team fast . There were several times in the Newton game where the pitch had T.D. written all over it or a receiver was standing all alone in the end zone waving his hands , but never got a look. PNG as well. We have the talent to go all the way this year, but a one man shows don't last very long I'm afraid.
  4. BOBCAT WROTE: If we can force him to pitch the ball and hit him in the mouth a few times, we might be able to slow that part of their game down. If you can force our QB to pitch the ball then please do!! This is his first year running the veer offense and he hasn't quite gotten the reads down yet. He has a lot of raw talent and the potential to be one of the best QBs to come out Silsbee period, but he needs to learn to make the veer work for him, and to do that he has to pitch the ball. We have a great backfield as well, and to this point they've made most of their yardage running straight up the gut. The truth is you've got it all wrong Bobcat. If you can get our QB to keep the ball when he should pitch then you might have a chance, but if he ever learns to make the read and let go of the football its going to be a long night in Bobcat land.
  5. If Silsbee stops fumbling the ball, they win BIG!! If not they still win, but by a smaller margin!!!
  6. I love it. "Seems to be down". Maybe there are just alot of good teams in southeast Texas this year, and some very tough match up. Ever thought of that? Its been posted on every forum in the state since realignment. The sad part of it is, some teams that are down, from elsewhere in Texas 3a football will make it to the playoffs while better teams sit at home and watch.
  7. You took the words wright out of my mouth. :?
  8. Newton has a very good team as expected and should go far this year. Silsbee has a good team as well, and still has a lot of room for improvement. The Tigers kept the penalties down to a minimum against Newton, but are still having trouble holding on to the football or should I say, not letting go of the football. The QB can't seem to let go of the ball on the exchange. All in all, both teams fought hard for the win, but the clock ran out on Newton. Congrats to the Tigers!

  10. What about the young men who have been working hard everyday through the off season and practices to play in the QB position for Jasper since Moye left ? I guess all of Jasper is ready to kick them to the curve, and let Moye waltz in as easy as he waltzed out on the team a year ago. It doesn't say much for the program in my opinion.
  11. One day away now. The weeks are always to long in football season...

  13. Sorry, I had to say that. The artical about the visors just cracked me up!!!!
  14. You might have been wright about that except for the secret weapon. That's wright sports fans Silsbee is taking off their visors this week also.
  15. I actually hope Sterling gives Central a good game, but I don't think it will happen. Sterling has some good talent on the field, but did'nt seem to have alot of heart against Silsbee. Centrals secondary should have alot of pickoff opportunities due to the week arm of Sterlings QB. Good Luck to Central this week even though I don't think you'll need it. Central 36 Sterling 14
  16. I am really looking foward to Friday Night Football at the REZ. I've never been there. You guys remember that old commercial with the Indian that had that huge tear drop rolling down his face at the end? That was so sad. I'm not looking foward to that part at all :!: At least he did'nt have on a purple shirt though. That would have really been sad. Man! Now I don't think I can go at all. OH WELL!!! Silsbee 28 PNG 14
  17. The scrimmages are over . Everyone keeps their first team on the field the whole game now, or at least until the score gets a bit lopsided. You know what I'm talking about, don't ya Lumbertonlineman77 ?
  18. I hate to say it , but i will. Lumberton ends up the 2006 season with a 2-8 record...., but ya'll are getting better.....
