And I also wanted to say good luck to Jeff Stewart and his family in Dayton.

I haven't met the new coach yet but from what I hear the kids are real excited about him and the coaches he brought onboard. Also there are quite a few athletes that haven't been playing the last couple of years that have gotten back in athletics. Just from seeing the players I know, I think its going to be a good year for Liberty football.

I love it. Now thats why these two teams have such an intense rivalry.

Looks like a fun event and something that the big guys would enjoy.

Help me out here. A few years ago you guys had a lefthanded QB on either your Jr. High team or freshman team that should be a senior this coming year. All I remember was that he was pretty tall for his age and could throw it a mile and he was lefthanded. Does he still play at Silsbee. Like I said he should be a senior this coming year.

Playboy Gary Hart died this past weekend. I remember him from the Houston Wrestling show that was on back in the late 60s. He managed Spoiler 1 and Spoiler 2 and did a little wrestling himself but he was more of a showman. He was really funny and will be missed. I think he was 66 and died of natural causes I think.

I would have to say for Liberty, that game would be against Hamshire Fannett. I think it will be our first tough test against a top notch team and will let us know if we can compete against the likes of some tough teams we have on the schedule.
