aTm was Hurts first choice. Bama was telling him he was their only QB recruit. Coaches lie.

1. There are no "full rides" in baseball. The elite pitchers gets 70% max. Some guys get 50% athletic and 50% academic. Depends on the school. It's also a sliding scale. 70% year one, 60% year two, etc..My son's freshman year at UH we paid nothing. His sophomore year, we paid for off campus housing. His last two years at Emporia State (FYTW), we paid for housing and books. Basically, his education was paid for, but not 100% by athletics. 2. If you're playing baseball, they are not going to allow you to be a "part time" student. They expect you to play baseball in the summer. Not go to classes. Football is a different animal. They want you on campus in the weight room and have much more scholarship money available. The can play the "part time" game.

They red shirt all the time. When my son was playing at UH, they had 5 red shirt his freshman year alone. [Hidden Content] Division I40 percent of required coursework for a degree must be complete by the end of the second year, 60 percent by the end of the third year and 80 percent by the end of their fourth year.Student-athletes are allowed five years of eligibility and athletically related financial aid.All Division I student-athletes must earn at least six credit hours each term to be eligible for the following term and must meet minimum grade-point average requirements related to the school’s GPA standards for graduation.

Isn't Murray a Spav guy? Seems like he would want or require him to stay. The first time a player asked me to transfer, would be his last. I'm not begging any one player to stay.

Something is not adding up with this guy. Seems like he's always "suspended", or "hurt". Happens more since Kirk is on board (for now).

Same for baseball. If he left now, he would lose 2 years of baseball if he went D1. I think he could play in JUCO. I know the D1 baseball players leave at semester all the time - grades, playing time, etc...They end up at San Jac and play over the kids that played there during the Fall.

He would have to sit a year. You don't get 4 years for each sport. You get 4 years, period.

Worst part, good player or bad, they burned a year of his eligibility for a few games.
