If Liberty doesn't hire Toby Foreman, this would be a great spot for him.  Actually this program is probably in better shape than Liberty's.  They'd be happy to get a coach of Toby's caliber and Toby will be glad to finally get a shot.  Seems like a match made in heaven.  The first school that gives Foreman a chance will be very very happy they did!

Always puzzles me when people expect pee wee success to equate to varsity wins.

[/quote] Just to clarify, my comment is not based on any type of inside information. Just simply my opinion based on things I have seen and heard over the past couple of years.

Taylor is the guy. He will be offered, and he will accept.  He turned down the Hardin job last year due to money, he will not turn this one down.  If he had taken the Hardin job last year, he would be leaving this year to coach Liberty.  Great get for Liberty.  Hope Taylor can begin rebuilding a once proud program.

Congrats to the guys who made it.  I have to question why San Augustine is considered a part of Southeast Texas?  Hubbard is a great player, but there were many impressive 1A athletes who play much closer to the region.  Darrell Lavalais, Kentarious Lavalais, and Austin Edmondson, just to name a few.  Either way, congrats to the guys who made it!

If this is the list, there is no doubt, that Chad Taylor is at the top of the list.  He is from there, he is a great coach, and he is looking to put down roots.  Liberty already made the mistake of passing him up once, they shouldn't make it again. I am intrigued by the DC from a place like Plano East wanting to come to Liberty.  Toby keeps getting the short end of the stick in these things.  He will get a job one day and will do a great job.  You just have to wonder, how many times we will see his name on a finalist list before he gets a chance.

TOC is as bad at the final rankings as DCTF is at pre season rankings.  Who cares about rankings, the Bobcats will be a force next season.  Looking forward to a DEEP playoff run.  #Finneyball

You must be talking to Bill Buchanan.  He is a notorious all caps typer.  Who cares.  If they don't hire Taylor, Claus, or Foreman, they have made a huge mistake.  If I was Toby, I'd hold out for a Golden Triangle job.  The other two make sense for Liberty.  The situation there is dire, and if they are allowing community members, teachers, and students to have input, it is about to get worse.

[/quote] Exactly.  Juco isn't some minor league college football curcuit.  I played D3 ball, and I never saw athletes in conference like I saw when we scrimmaged Kilgore or Cisco.  We scrimmaged against D linemen that played for Nebraska the next year.  Juco is serious business.  D2 does offer full scholarships, but D3 does not.  Guys that play D3 are simply playing because they love playing.  Every other level is trying to parlay 4 years of football into a scholarship or the NFL. 

Wouldn't give the names?  Isn't it a law that when requested they have to be given?  Freedom of information act or something like that.

I'd love to see the list of applicants.  Someone from the media has to request it, they don't offer that up.  Hopefully someone will do that soon.  You have to think that Toby Foreman and the OC from Dayton are at the top of the list.  Having said that, my gut tells me that Larry Haynes will be in the mix.  Most from Liberty aren't familiar with Foreman or Claus (??), but they are very familiar with Haynes.  That seems to steer the ship at LISD.
