They only have 2 QBS that even have the abilty to play Varsity QB Looks like there will be a duel between Aubrey and Padia who we only saw in the first half of Spring and from the look of Aubrey in 7on7, he is not ready! So who knows?
Actually, I've heard the opposite.  Based on the information that I've obtained, Aubrey will get the nod at QB and Padia (Tebow is what I call him) will play in the secondary on defense.
Will Hervey get snaps at QB?  ;D
baahaha...Hervey might get some snaps ? Wildcat? And as for Padia at DB I can see that happening i think he was at safety in the spring game but all im saying is if he is going with Aubrey than they must be thinking RUN Hervey right and run hervey left and run hervey up the middle cause if you saw 7on7 that passing game needs alot of work! and hopefully Aubrey has been working all summer to improve the timing with his receivers but if not good luck with that decision. Dave Campbell magazine has Padia at QB/DB and no mention of Aubrey...just saying :).....
They have Padia at QB because he was the starter last year and all are expecting him to start next year, but that probably won't be the case.  Aubrey has the better tools than Padia crime what I've been told by a very reliable source...
In 2009 Crosby, under Flanigan ran off 10 straight wins with a heavy ground game of Merka & Jakacy Evans who scored 25 Tds.The next year, without Jakacy,Merka threw for 2100 yards. It sounds like maybe a 2009 may be in store for WB.And also he will run right, left and up the middle with the read option.Hope Hervey can stay healthy and have a great year.

 3. Most of the scouting of upcoming foes is done by Freshmen and Jr.High coaches unless a bye week or Thursday night game comes into play.I don't think the idea of outside help will ever come into play on the high school level. The teams in the lower income districts would surely protest because they would not be able to use this resource, thus making a even greater unlevel playing field.
 4. Wouldn't it be wonderful that we All could be in this situation. My opinion is,If you,as parents got them that far,he or she will value your opinion enough to either know what you prefer or will come to you and ask.
 5. Sorry UIL,but Coach Foreman I applaud you.The hand signals pic proves nothing,he may be signaling his wife to get him a cold one. OOPS ! Well you get the point ! Could have been anything to ANYBODY !
 6. Done Deal! I Enjoy the squabble !

Cole and Chase Harrell. Both kids are D-1 type prospects, will go good with the twins. Crosby may go deep.
What positions? Grade?
If your not familiar with Cole and Chase Harrell ("Spot and Dot"). The brothers played junior high football at Hull-Daisetta, then their mother found a better job and moved them to Huffman, now Crosby is rumor. Both are WR's, Cole is a senior and Chase a junior. Cole is 6'0 205 4.6 and Chase is 6'5 200 4.6. Both kids have the ability to play D-1 ball. Youtube their highlights. To bad H-D lost them. SMH
The younger brother Chase definitely will play D1. He had over 1100 receiving yards last year as a sophomore, Texas and Georgia are all over him. When they played 7 on 7 in Crosby earlier this summer Cole was playing qb so I didn't get to see what he really had at receiver but he looks good on the film i just watched. If the transfer thing is true then Chase would play opposite of Raelon giving us two 6-4 wideouts and putting 6-3 200lb Cullen Lee in the slot. Cole would play the other slot position giving us 4 receivers over 6' and in the 190-200 lb range. Sounds good for Austin who would almost certainly average over 10 ypc again with that many kids on the field having to be respected. We threw for nearly 340 on SC last year with a couple drops that would have changed the game and gave us well over 400 yards. That's not really our game but if we have these two kids it could be an option instead of the requirement it turned into last year. I hope it's true.
Cole was injured last season, missed half the season. Cole is a better route runner. Chase blew away the Texas coaches at camp this summer, at 6'5 200 he is a beast. Good kids, I have known them since their 6th grade year, they played junior high football with my brother at H-D. Both will play D-1 ball, wish H-D still had them. Crosby will be scary if they play there.
Word on the street is they're a couple of big softies.
I've watched these boys as freshman and sophomore. If they are softies,I'll take 22 just like them.DD has obviously hasn't watch them play.
 8. Wow ! That foursome would be scary.Could use some DL transfers. With all the offensive line depth Blackburn could return to the defensive line.
 9. First district game with Magnolia West should be a good one.For Magnolia West, look for the return of QB Brandon O'Neil, who was out last year with knee ?? injury,to add a passing game to the offense. He looked good in last year's scrimmage aganst Crosby. If coach Bell can find some receivers to complement O'Neil the Mustangs should be strong. The defense looks strong with District's Defensive MVP DE Xavier Jones and up to 9 other returners.
 10. 1972 graduate of C.E.King.Followed grandson who played for Crosby for three years and played on the team that beat DAYTON.Cheer for this great Crosby senior class.A talented bunch of kids and some great parents.
 11. UGH ! He's only a Junior ! Come on re-alignment !

Texas Football Magazine mentions Cody Young as probable QB.
The Coach Martin the previous posts are referring to is Manvel's HC Kirk Martin. He does do most of the offensive play calling for Manvel. I have no clue as to the dynamics on the staff, but seems like a HC that manages the offense may be frustrating to the OC. Also, previous posts mention growth projections in New Caney. Could be that as well that make it interesting to Jimmy. Cory is a beast. Already committed to Rice, and DCTF has him listed as a pre-season 5A all-state lineman. Gaining that level of lineman is certainly a big windfall for New Caney.
Thanks RHboiler for the info on HC Kirk Martin.I can clearly see there could of been a little friction with that situation.I can see the additions certainly improving the New Caney program but in no way see a playoff spot coming.

 15. These changes may boost New Caney above Porter and C.E.King.Heard things are in turmoil in Panther Land.
 16. Beaumont Hebert in early 70's was about as dominating as there was !

 18. In 1969 as a Sophmore my high school team went to Nederland for a preseason scrimmage. As we went out for warmups we noticed the Nederland players were wearing pink jerseys. We made a big deal of it until we got into the scrimmage. After we shot our mouth off for a while, the Nederland boys put a good butt whoopin' on us.Come to find out the coaches washed the practice jerseys with red dye to purposely make them pink.Lesson learned  ~ Can't judge what's really in that jersey until the ball is snapped !
 19. Looks like all Navasota needs is someone who can operate the golf cart.
 20. Georgetown must of had a powerful JV team to justify their ranking.I only saw 2 or 3 underclassmen contribute during their playoff run.
 21. How do you get .2 and .5 ?
 22. 3 downs in a cloud of dust ! Probably because they have no outside speed. Why not let their senior QB air it out a little??
 23. Only way Crosby goes D1 if they make the playoffs is if 2 of these 3 teams make the playoffs ~ Barbers Hill 1287,Porter 1366 & New Caney 1400.I don't see that happening this year. Can't see only 1 team out of Summer Creek,Dayton,Kingwood Park & King making the playoffs.Dayton who sits at 1446 is over Crosby 1440.So whether Dayton makes the playoffs or not will not affect Crosby being D1.Numbers are Attendance figures.                                           ( 1 ) Summer Creek - Could be making a mistake playing movin A.J.Jeffrey at WR.Better than any RB they have.                                           ( 2 ) Crosby - If the defense >>>> well ya'll know !                                           ( 3 a) Kingwood Park - Scrappy bunch of kids returning.Coach learns not to freeze his own kicker                                           ( 3b ) Dayton - Who knows who will show up !                                           ( 3 c )Barbers Hill - Never liked that offense.Needs Denny at QB                                             ( 6 ) Humble - Lot of underclassmen got playing time last year.                                             ( 7 )Porter - Returning QB                                             ( 8 ) King - No returning offense or Defensive linemen plus loss of Jeffrey could make King Cellar dwellars.                                             ( 9 ) New Caney - Lots of returning players but the offense is BOOOORRRRIIIINNNGG !!
