The Moderator kill the Crosby/Manor Game thread. Trying to see the thoughts of the Crosby Fans after this one. - Manor had a hard time finishing any drives in the first half. Three trips to the read zone and only 6 Points (2 FG's). - Crosby found the hole on the Manor D and exploited it to the tune of 24 points in the first half. 2nd half was a different story. - Those three consecutive 3 and outs for Crosby changed the games. - Manor's Offense found a good rhythm and lit up the scoreboard in the 3rd quarter. Great game by both teams. Crosby just look like a different team in the second half. Thoughts?

Hated to start another thread, but wanted to get a count on how you feel about this game. I am expecting a great game from both teams.

Fast Tempo etc. If you've seen sulphur Springs play our HC was there OC when they won State. Defense plays a multiple D front this year, depends on the offense and whats successful it goes from a 4-2-5 to a 4-4 bear, sometimes its a 3-4. So lots of looks up front. I'm pretty sure the tricks have been left in the bag as we saw something new on offense vs Ozen when it came to crunch time. Big playmakers on the Offense are The 3 Walters. WR, RB, QB. The RB is d1 material without a doubt, the WR is solid, and the QB is undersized but very very explosive with the ball in his hands. The Defense is pretty fast to the corners, we've been beat by 3 very good teams Nederland/Dayton/Summer Creek. Nederland beat us with there Defensive line. Dayton is in our heads Summer Creek was just a vastly superior team. (They may win state, that good.) Thanks for the Run down on Manor... Team is built on speed. Google "Manor Mustangs Hudl" You'll find a few highlights.

This one is gonna be a shoot out. If the Twins from Crosby are as dynamic as you guys say they are, this should be a very close game. Manor has been good against the run ever since the Leander game. That game taught us a lesson about "big boy" football.  We are extremely quick at the skill positions. If Manor cuts out the turnovers and penalties from last week (4 TO's, 16 penalties), we should be able to pull this one out.

[/quote] I don't know much about SC but I do have a lot of first hand knowledge about Georgetown. This team is as complete of a team that you will face in the playoffs. Don't kid yourself onto thinking that they will not be ready. If you are gonna analyze film on them, look at the first two quarters only. The rest is probably just backups. I'm not saying SC won't win, but don't expect it to be easy. You will see on Saturday that the G-Town QB and Offense are the real deal.

What's they story on Crosby? What type of offense do they run?  Just trying to see what my Mustangs are up against this Saturday.

We recover the kickoff on their 25 yard line. We got a penalty for illegal formation. One kid with both feet behind the 35 yard line. We stop them, and got the ball at our 3 yard line with 1:20 left. Game ended on their 2 yard line. We caught the pass and our receiver knocked his teammate down. Leander loss 28-7:  Tied at 7-7 midway thru the 3rd.  Should have been up 21-7 at the half. Drop two wide open balls. Their bigger, stronger was better than our faster. Georgetown loss 43-8: we played without our QB. They dominated.  I don't think we would have won with him, but it wouldn't have looked so bad. Best win: @ Pflugerville Connally 20-17. No one outside of Manor thought we would win.  Down 10-0 at the half. News cameras went home. RB Owens had maybe 20 yards in the first half. Ended the game with 254. Huntsville win was big. We dominated them in all phases of the game. ( Including turnovers and penalties. We sure had a lot more of each)

Don't look past G-Town.  QB is a stud and the receivers know how to create space. The defense gives up little to nothing. This team is very experienced. The have 54 Seniors on the roster. I don't want you guys to think it is gonna be a cakewalk. Our district was considered weak by most because we had two first year teams. The top four in this district is as strong as any out there. The Austin American Statesman had a fixation with Lake Travis and the Cedar Park/ Leander area. They think the rest of the Austin metro area doesn't exist.

Nice win for the Mustangs over Huntsville. I don't Think we played a very clean game. I believe we had 5 turnovers. ( 4 fumbles and 1 pic).  I stopped counting penalties at number 12. I'm positive we had at least 4 more. I  still think we haven't peaked yet. Still have to feel good that we played so poorly and still put 47 on the board.
