why is hampshire fannett not ranked?

I want to say congrats to the beaumont players and coaches on a great year and impressive weekend.  What a top notch group of kids and coaches.  My son (from nederland) was fortunate enough to play with the Bmt. team this weekend.  I will say the coaches and kids were very pleasant to deal with.  My son made new friends with several on the team and talked about how nice they were.  As far as whether this was a select team or the beaumont blue, what I say won't matter.  For what it is worth, I think that beaumont could have won without the extra players.  Thanks for allowing my son to play as well as the other nederland boys.  They all had a great time and it was a great experience.  I for one am very critical of coaches in all sports, and I was impressed with how the beaumont coaches handled the group of boys and got them to respond.  My son was fortunate enough to have an excellent coach (in regular season)that tought fundamentals which benefited our team this year.  we didn't have the greatest atheletes, but ended up having a great season becuase our boys learned the basics.  I saw that same quality in the beaumont blue coaches in the one week my son practiced with them getting ready for the national championship. I have never been one to post on this website, although I do read it regularly.  I have a son on the Ned W team that played beaumont today.  I first want to say I hope the injured players that got hurt were ok.  I personally didn't see any chop blocking and know that the kids are not taught that.  I know that both sides were called once each for personal fouls.  I did see one kid from beaumont that hurt his ankle and 2 Bmt players run into each other on the nederland side line resullting in them banging each other up.  Not sure about the other injuries. I want to say congrats to beaumont.  They are truly talented and full of speed.  They kicked our butts fair and square.  They were so good the coach was telling our head coach what play he was going to run and daring him to stop them.  Their backfield does a great job of blocking for the other backs to run.  We could have stacked 6 guys on the side they ran to and still not stopped them.    I am proud of our boys for hanging in there and never giving up.  Good luck beaumont and you do have a truly talented team.  hope to see you again in superbowl.  Thoughts are with your injured players
