Dogs moved the ball around well tonight. It will be a freak event for any team in district to score against this "D" and goalie. There are moments when this team looks simply brilliant!

Thanks (coach) for taking the time to explain why we play when we do. Never knew that........Who makes those kinds of decisions and do the soccer coaches/athletic directors/parents have a say? I'll bet its harder to make a change in this regard than to crap in a swinging jug.

Nederland dominated Lumbertown. I know they both played in the same conditions so give in to our friends from the north. However, come PNG tournament time on a decent playing surface, I'll take the dogs 3-0 over the Raiders.

If the local media took more interest in these kids as they do in football and basketball...........not just anybody can sit in the stands with great s/e texas winter weather. It takes a real fan to brave this funk. Only a parent or coach would understand...............I'm pretty well convinced the local media will never "get it".

What are the chances? Stupid american football...........yea, like that darn stadium will be full on Saturday afternoons. Love football........but why not soccer at Lamar?

Can't say a whole lot about this young man other than he will be a freshman @ Nederland this coming year. Oh, one more thing, he's pretty darn good in the net. Plays for Curtis Williams.

I like it Shark! That is what we need..........Ideas from people who know how this thing is supposed to operate. A different bowl name though....Something that captures the great sport of soccer

Has anyone heard or does anyone know of a Westbrook team that is forming for kids who aren't making the trips to Houston and still want to play some competitive soccer at the high school level? ???

You guys are right. My belief is that we (locally) should be further along than we are. Let's face it, unless you've played the game or are a parent of one who does, most folks don't think soccer is even a sport, especially here. My kid shouldn't have to go to Houston to find competition. Coaches/schools need to look ahead, prepare for the future. Someday your child may want to play at a high level, and by that time gas will be $7.00 bucks a gallon. No easy answers here.........just my opinion.
