If y'all can find it somewhere I said about 6 months ago Armanti was the second best receiver in the state. D'onta is the true definition of a load-back. Might not be a harder runner in the state, that being said I think he'llall end up playing linebacker at UT. Best set of twins iI've ever seen though.
They telling that RB that he can play RB there. I thought they already had 2 committed backs already. Maybe they just want the brother so bad, the WR
I think he went to Utah because they had less competition than the other BCS schools. Only issue with that is Utah signed a kid named Brandon Cox this February that enrolled early and went through Spring ball. He was hurt for the Spring game(slight build like Sharp) but the Utah people say they expect him to take over the starting job from soph. Travis Wilson which means Sharp has a kid who's literally a mirror image of himself that he'll be in competition with for three and possibly all four years he's at Utah. Cox was a 3 year starter at what we would consider 5a in California and was the 17th rated dual-threat in the country by rivals just like Sharp is. What's even more eerie is that they're both southpaw and about 6-2.5 and 185 lbs. Sharp is a more polished passer from what I see on the film but Cox has a better stroke even though he loads up a little which I think can be fixed with strength training. He's also a better and more willing runner. I think Aaron could still possibly beat him out in a couple of years but if Cox doesn't redshirt and plays well it could be very tough to get on the field. It might have been easier to beat out Cunningham who doesn't even have a varsity start yet. Good luck to him though, maybe he'll be the next Brian Johnson. Cox - [Hidden Content] Sharp - [Hidden Content]
I don't think that's the reason Sharp went to Utah....I believe he committed because he had a good relationship with the coaches. I also heard he De- Committed over night and Committed to K state. Not for sure though. I'm hearing the mother never agreed with the Utah commit
Hope this doesn't turn into a soap opera. It's a free ride, either way it goes he's gonna be out-of-state on a football field receiving a free education. If in fact that's true about her I hope she gets over herself for the sake of him.
I was under the impression that his mother liked utah a lot, I thought that played a part in his commitment. Maybe the family wanted to discuss it with him one last time before he officially made his decision, idk. He has plenty of time between the end of the season and NSD for changing his mind, so not really that big of a deal.
From what I'm told his parents loved Utah, but felt it was a better family situation for him, and believed K state was an excellent program also

My answer is yes, especially if you have a tight and close family. The kid will always need that support system and I just think its easier when you are close or closer to home
I won't pick my son's school for him but I'll definitely narrow it down to either/or. While 17 and 18 year old kids can great football players, most aren't very good decision makers. A recruiter can sell a kid a dream but a parent has to be rudder and steer the kid away from half truths and incorrect information. K.St might be stiffer overall competition but I think it's a much better career choice for various reasons. Tell Aaron Cunningham hasn't committed to Baylor yet for some reason, I'm beginning to think he's going to stay out west. Hard to go from Vega to Waco. I would be asking Kendall what the deal is personally.
Maybe Cunningham is waiting for uCLA offer, remember Baylor is waiting on Brandon Harris decision too. He is scheduled to visit. Bottom line is Baylor wants 2 guys as a potential QB, and neither one of them committed anywhere so they will wait for them. And now if its true Sharp did commit, they may not come after him now

Also dumdogs your right dayton will probably start 5 sophmores on the oline.
I'm just going by what rivals listed for Dayton. How do you know they're going D1 if they didn't play last year? I hope you're not talking about McBrides or anyrhing, I don't think Isaiah Chambers will either. What are the juniors names so I can check them out?
these kids you just mentioned have already been to a ut camp. One of them ran a 4.42. So i think yeah maybe they will go d1
UT has about 5 of those camps during the summer and 100's of kids come through. They're really more like combines to see who can do what.  We've had kids go to UT camps and others but most don't get d1 offers. They probably called about Keener so they could put a tape measure on him but they also ask the coaches who they think can play and that's how the majority of those kids get to camp. Depending on how big chambers is i think he could possibly play d1 too but McBride is tiny and needs to have Walter-like production to get an offer no matter how fast he is.
Yea but he can play for a Texas Tech team....play the slot anyway
 8.
Dayton had 5 sophmores starting last year. Four of which i know will get d1 offers.
I expect Keener and Kyle to get a D1 offer for sure
 9. Jeffrey was one of the top sophs. in the state and he did it on the field, not during a cone drill. He did it with everybody in the entire stadium knowing he was getting it too. I thought SC was supposed to have all these good receivers in the pipeline, why is a kid that played rb on a 3 win team getting a starting spot at receiver where he's obviously having issues adjusting? Chatman says he could get 1000 yards on 10-15 carries which tells me he plans on averaging 9 ypc. I know there's smaller backs that do that but big backs such as Keevon Aldridge y'all had last year have a hard time getting going when the o-line doesn't create movement which SC's rarely does due to them practicing pass plays/ pass blocking all the time.
I think the coaches want to keep controversy down. I still have no doubt in my mind, Jeffrey will get a shot a running back before the season ends. As far as the line practicing pass blocking...Wrong.....they always working on blocking for the run for I - formation.

NS has over 4600 by themselves, Galena Park has less than 2000. NS Mustangs, Galena Park Yellow Jackets. They just call them GP North Shore because that's what school district they're, much like y'all are listed, Humble Atascosita,  Humble SC or Humble Kingwood Park. North Shore is a completely different place than Galena Park.
I know they're two separate schools.  SC scrimmages Galena Park each year.  Just was blown away by Northshore's enrollment.  The school doesn't look large enough to house that many kids.  AHS is a pretty large school ...and at 3500, they had kids in portable classrooms in the parking lot.
Believe me, it isn't. Those kids really have to struggle to get anything out of class lectures at that school. They really get screwed out of a good education much like at Aldine isd.
Not true. You get a good Education in Aldine ISD
 13.
Just for the record I think Chatman actually did score a TD last season, but it was against a second team defense when we were up a few scores in the 4th quarter. Anyway, those 3 touches he had in the spring game was enough to get me excited for the fall. His ability to quickly find the gap and hit it was excellent.
True, true, but remember that was the SPRING GAME. Teams are split up, some kids are just now coming in, that's practice. But like I said earlier, I'm sure he will do well
 14.
First of all, SC has never had a 1,000 yard rusher and I think that Chatman can get there with a certain amount of touches{10 to 15} a game. The only way SC has a chance to advance in the playoffs is to run the ball and run the ball  effectively so you can protect your defense which is not that strong. And even on offense ,I hope that Coach Ford realizes that he doesn't have the receivers he has had in the past( Hogan,Ruffin, and Bootz) and his main receivers now are very short and are not playmakers.I do not care how pass-happy your offense is ,you can not win championships without a good running game and a good defense
And summer creek never will have 1000 rusher. Ford will rotate 3 backs again....Braden, Chatman and that small back we have, just like he did last year. Plus, I believe Sharp will run the ball more himself this year. As far as WR, Torrey is one of the best in the district. Aj Jeffrey is a natural football player from what i see....that kid is tough! he will shine wherever Ford lines him up. Then you have Bucket, (whose listed as top junior in Dave Campbell book), Deshaun McNeil, Syndney Washington....we will have the WRs. We also will have good Defense, maybe not as deep as last year, but just as good. I expect our secondary to be better than last year......I just hope Chatman Keep Calm, realize he's a good kid, and don't get up there wanting the ball all the time. Be a team player. And I have to agree with Cougar14, you haven't played any games at RB yet for us to say you are a great back. But I'm sure you will do awesome for the Bulldogs
Dakota should play at TCU or OU, Sharp should go to Baylor, K-St, or I've been reading he's leaning Miss St as of late but it could just be from camp. I don't know even if Aaron has a big season if he'll get any bigger offers, most of the top programs already have their guy.
Agree with your picks ...but offers and commits can be soft these days.  Everybody wants to win and loyalty doesn't trump winning.  Both guys have an entire season to shine ...it may increase or decrease their stock.  I see late commits from both players.  This verbal offer/verbal commit thing is really interesting.  I believe the NCAA pushed back National Signing Day to February and it started all this verbal offer business.  If SC has the season they should, both Sharp and Allen can sing "Back Then They Didn't Want Me, Now I'm Hot They All On Me!"
I don't think it's going to get bigger than OU for Dakota, he's somewhat limited by his height. The SEC could come calling late with decommitments but he needs to get a spot in a recruiting class in case he gets injured during the offseason or next year. Dakota could still impress recruiters with his versatility and production next year, it doesn't get much better than what Sharp did last year. You have to remember guys like Hubanek and KD Baker threw for well over 4000 yards and weren't very highly recruited after playing in state title games so unless there's a decommit somewhere I don't think Sharp can be anymore impressive than a nearly 6 to 1 td to pick ratio over his career. It's just a rough year to be a qb with all the talent around the country. What I would be worried about is why Baylor told Sharp they wanted him as a receiver but offered a qb scholarship to a kid that was a backup last year and hasn't started a varsity game. LSU feels the same way though which tells me there's either a consensus on his arm strength or mechanics by the big schools.
Keep it real Cougar14, don't just say "a kid"  , let everybody know that's RANDALL CUNNINGHAM JR. Son of Ex-NFL PHILADELPHIA QB RANDALL CUNNINGHAM  ;)
i havent heard any kind of hype about that kid other than he is the son of the legendary QB.
He doesn't need hype....he has the name
Joe Montana's kid had "the name" also ;)
All I'm saying is this. The guy wins the 200 meter dash in class 4a in Texas which tells me even before I lay eyes on him that he's one of the best athletes in the country, not just the state because other than maybe 5a, Cali or Florida there's probably not many faster kids in the United States at that distance. He's 6-3 and had better than a 6-1 td to int ratio last year to go along with over 6000 career passing yards. Oh yeah, he's just a junior. These people know what they're doing and Art Briles isn't going to compromise his program for a name. What is Aaron going to do if RCII commits to Utah? They both have offers to three of the same schools matter of fact.
Well according to his time, 21.19 he still would have placed in STATE in the 5a meet. And yes he is an athlete. Sharp played WR some in little league, and was one of the best . So I'm sure he would be successful as an athlete if he was to play it in college. RC2 won't go there because Utah doesn't have a track team. He's going where he can do both sports, track and Football
 22.
I think Sharps arm strength and super slim build have teams worried about him being a D1 qb. He is a smart kid but i dont know if he could take the hits at the big time college level. I know they list him at 190 but i would be shocked if he weighed that in full pads.
Sharp has 13 D1 offers....2 are athlete offers. According to Sharp he's 189lbs, and that's after he lost weight to win 3 gold medals in the STATE track meet. Randall Cunning jr is 6'5 185.....everybody that KNOWS Football, know that college training put the weight on you ;)
Dakota should play at TCU or OU, Sharp should go to Baylor, K-St, or I've been reading he's leaning Miss St as of late but it could just be from camp.
Thoughts?
LOL!  PNG sure could use him.  They might win a few games this year.
Lmao!
Use him at whatever position that will help SC win a 2nd round playoff game
BG you love SC to death :-*
actually not, but SC is loving taking over for Barbie's Hill in 19-4A as far as good regular seasons & early playoff exits.  ;)
Everyone hates SC because we dominated 19-4A and what we faced in 20-4A. Truth is if we were on the level as New Caney we wouldn't have all these threads concerning SC.
+1  ;D
