1. Your opinion on what I post is right up there with the yellow bellied sap sucker going extinct!! In other words I COULD CARE LESS!!! If it makes you feel better, delete away!!! I said what I think and it broke no forum rules, it just wasn't what you wanted to hear. GO BOBCATS AND PLAY FINNEY-BALL TO THE MAX AND YOU WILL BE THE POWERHOUSE OF SOUTHEAST TX. FOOTBALL AGAIN!! TAKE NO PRISONERS!!!!!
2. Good grief this is a football forum not freakin OPRAH segment!!! You clowns know it wasn't meant as a slam at special needs kids...put your freakin PC antennae's down and put your big boy panties on...dang, folks like that get me riled up so early in the morning, you should move to California and sip wine with the  other limp wristers!!! Hang in there Bobcat 55, you just wait till Finney gets those boys hard as nails and knockin the fire out of your opponents...you aint seen nothin' yet!!! YOU WILL LOVE "FINNEY-BALL" but you can bet the teams you play wont!!!!! GOOD LUCK AND YOU HAVE A NEW FAN FROM NORTHEAST TX.!!!!
3. Lay the leather, did you just ride up on your 10 speed and pull your helmet out of your pocket? I think you mean "lay the composite plastic" or in some cases the refurbished plastics...
Really?? They aren't made of leather any more?? Thanks for the intelligent post...if your team is on their schedule next year you will wish they had pillows on their heads when they put a few "slobber Knockers" on you!!!! ;D
4. Wait till the summer workouts start!!! Come August those young men will be in top shape and ready "lay the leather" to their opponents!!! You will be amazed at how much stronger and faster everyone will be!!
5. LOLOL!!! Praise the Lord, no I don't live there but I know lots of folks that do and have seen the results of some of the village idiots in action...aint that right JDB???? They just about ruined one of the best young men that I have ever had the pleasure to be around...proof enough for me...hope they do give it to Chip...if anybody can get them going it would be him.
6.
Not sure what it would take for Shepherd to be a legitimate player in dist 22 3a...
About 20-30 athletes move in would be about the only way!!! ;D
7. I can assure you that coach Finney will tailor the offense to the talent available...like the poster said about Maud we ran multiple formations to confuse the defense but the offensive schemes were pretty simple...we ran the power I when we had the horses to control the game and the spread with all the options when we had a QB that could run that offense...whatever the attack is, I can promise you the kids will be prepared and the defense will be swarming and attacking...he doesn't teach anything dirty or illegal but his teams play till the whistle finishes blowing and to hit anything that has the wrong color on...hard!!!
8. I know from first hand experience that what H-D Bobcat 55 said is right on the money. My son played for him from 8th grade till he graduated and he is now playing at the college level. I promise you he will motivate the kids like they have never been motivated and he will demand they work harder than they have ever worked before. He will make average players good and good players great. He also demands the same from his coaches. If they will not work they will be gone. Besides working hard Coach Finney is a student of the game. He can run Power-I or Spread and everything in between. He will run the offense that suits the talent level he has to work with. If you folks could have seen how bad the program was at Maud (1A) when he got there and what it was when he left you would be very excited about whats to come!!! Good luck to the Bobcats and Coach Finney!!
9.
Its easy to win at the 1A level with 3 guys that all signed with TCU out of high school.  I have respect for the HD program, having played and coached against them, but they dang sure don't have that type of talent running around Hull, Daisetta, or Raywood.
Those 3 kids only played 2 years and they went 12-1 and 12-4...the other two years at Maud he went 7-3 and won district with kids that were very average. I know because my son was one of the average kids!!! But I am glad you brought up the 3 linemen that went to TCU...they were average till Finney instilled an incredibly tough off season and summer weight program...all 3 of them changed their body mass completely...they would have been average at best if they had not been through the "boot camp" that Coach puts the kids through...you will see a difference in a year but in two or three years is when you will see a huge difference...the kids will be much bigger, faster and quicker...just hide and watch!!!
10. Your new AD has never had a record worse than 7-3 and he won't at HD either. He will outwork and outcoach most and his players will play harder for him than they have ever played before. You guys are in for a real treat and your opponents are in for some trips to the wood shed!!!!
11. I apologize for being so long winded but I figured you guys need and want to know what you are getting. I know I would if I still had one playing!! One more thing, he will work to get your kids name out to as many college coaches as he possibly can. We had 3 from Maud (small school D-1) go D-1 (TCU) and are still playing and my son is at a D-2 school. He has lots of contacts and has a great reputation among the college coaches. They know the kids he sends them will work and will not have an attitude. I just can't stress enough how good his weight/speed and quickness program is and how it will help ALL the programs. Boys and girls. Again, best of luck and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask them. Will be glad to help anyway I can.
12.

Word has it that Superintendent Huckabay will recommend Josh Finney of Mesquite Poteet to the board to be the next H-D HC/AD
Thanks for the update WOSgrad. You have any info on Josh Finney?
Greetings from northeast Tx. as you can see this is the first time I have posted. I just wanted you Bobcat fans to realize how fortunate you are to have Coach Finney. He took what was called "the worst job" in coaching and made that program a powerhouse in 1A. Maud was the laughinstock of Northeast Tx football, winning 5 games in 4 years (one of those a forfeit) and procceeded to compile a 38-11 record reaching the state quarterfinals and state sem-finals, four district championships (lost 1 district game in four years!!). The off season/summer workouts will develop athletes, not just football players, in that same time span the baseball team captured 2 district championships and went deep in the playoffs every year, basketball made the playoffs for the first time in many years and the track team won two district championships, two area championships and sent two to state, powerlifting teams also were started and did great...and don't worry about the girls side either, he expects the same hard work on their side...the softball team made it to the state tourn. won district twice and girls track excelled. He believes in hard work and demands it from the coaches and athletes...if they will buy in to his program and work HD will be very sucessful again. He also turned around a Teague program that had gone 2-8 to 7-3 and made the playoffs...he and the supe didn't see eye to eye so he went to Mesquite Potteet...the years after Coach Finney left, Maud has returned to below average and Teague did the same thing...both teams NOT making the playoffs after he left. BUT the best thing about Coach is the kids will absolutely love him!! And he wil develop young men of character, not just great athletes!! You guys should be getting extremely excited down there!!! My son was fortunate enough to have him for his coach and that was one of the main reasons that he is playing college ball now. Best of luck to the Bobcats and Coach Finney!!
