Silsbee pays terrible, there is going to be a negative over reaction to this hire, I think he will do fine, the negative reaction will come from people’s view of his lack of head coaching experience, but if they brought in a previous head coach people would say that guy didn’t win enough. I feel like a lot of people were scared away from replacing a legend with what is viewed as a down year in talent. The fact that is most people don’t want to take a $15,000 pay cut to hear about how they’ve run the program in the ground all year, when the fact that they had less talent than the previous guys probably had the last 15 years.
  2. How long have they been there? It’s not that hard to get certified is it?
  3. It will be the ultimate high risk, high reward hire. Silsbee has always been really good, Jones and the two Bryant’s may be as good of top end talent they have ever had. I know that is high praise, but yes the Bryant kids are that good.

  7. Absolutely nailed their head coaching hire, really good at the lower levels with a good freshman and sophomore class. They will be back very soon.

  16. Year 1 in a new district you are in a probationary contract and can be let go for any reason. He has been there five or six years, so he can’t be non renewed without cause.
  17. Then fire him and non renew his contract and display all this information and write ups you have as cause. Stand on your beliefs and documentation and fire him for not doing his job, don’t hide behind a reassignment trying to make him quit. If he is so bad and written up so many times why. Is he still a district employee, you would think you would fire that person and make sure they are long gone.
