[/quote] Yes I knew that was what you meant but what I was getting at is the advantage Yates has in the numbers allowing them to put him in that position.  They may have 3A or even 4A numbers in attendance but with open enrollment in Houston.  They are pulling players from numbers higher than even 5A. It's called "playing down." Something I like to bring up whenever Ball & Silsbee played last year or Yates vs Kingwood Park ;)

I meant disadvantage to Santee playing center at a 3-A  small school like HJ or Silsbee. His position at the next level will be on the wing. He's getting that experience now. See too many kids play out of position in high school.

HJ has a basketball culture that contributes materially to whatever level of success that they happen to achieve.  If that culture were present at Westbrook, I suspect they would be a one of the premier teams in the area.
