If Colmesneil ever gets a coach who cares about basketball and knows the game better, they could be decent.
there aint anything you can do with the 6'10 kid he just dont have any coordination he just aint a basketball player
 2.
I watched evadale in summer league ... they had one person that was decent ...
yeah that #3 he will be the leader of this team this year, he will be hold there fate in his hands
 3. when was the last time they were even .500 in dist, and if its because of the dude they have thats like 7 foot  ;D ;D

i wonder how they mke these picks since evadale won at home last year and H-D won at there house, and evadale lost 5 SR and i dont think H-D lost any but they still got evadale ahead of H-D but heck what do i know
Not sure about the preseason rankings myself, believe that it's what you do on the court and where you finish in the end that matters most, but I can say this about the 2011-2012 Rebels they have three returning starters from last years team including our leading scorer, Devon Murphy. Shawn Totten and Brandon Bruce are the other two, all three of them are seniors this year. Add senior Kyle Tayor a post player into that mix (Kyle got substancial minutes in the State Semi-Final game last year) and the other player who was on the bench for the Rebels last year is Briden Burford another scorer. So experience will not be a problem for the Rebels this season. Coach Williams (Coach L) to us here in Evedale, knows this will be a different team that will not be the pound it inside team as last year, but they will know how to win and with another year of tough predistrict games they will be ready to face anything that ge thrown their way. Not saying the Rebels are bound for Austin again, but that they we be ready to make another run at district this year and beyond that, who knows!
Only murphy was a starter every game the other two started on and off but yes taylor will be a great replacment for the 3 in the inside last year
 5. i wonder how they mke these picks since evadale won at home last year and H-D won at there house, and evadale lost 5 SR and i dont think H-D lost any but they still got evadale ahead of H-D but hell what do i know

They did not dominate Newton it was a close game all the way to the end..
that is ture Newton had the game won till the nut cuting than they gave it away, but all that matters is EC got the W
WaterBOY does not know what he is talking about. EC was never behind and Newton never had the game won. If anybody was trying to give the game away it was EC handing Newton 14 points. 7 in the first half with snap going over punter into endzone and 7 in 2 half with EC having a chance to fall on a fumble but tried to pick up and missed, then Newton picked it up for about 70 yard TD. You must be thinking about a different game. Newton didn't give anything away.
That is correct. Two EC givaways gave Newton 14 points, and thats what kept Newton in the game. EC always led. Points are points, but takeaway the two givaways and EC cruises in that game.
My bad i was not at the game because i was at TRF ;D and i thought i was told it was the other way around with the give aways but i guess i got it mixed up  :-\

What kind of size will they have this year?
They did not lose much. Maybe 1 or 2?? They were young last year.
Oh okay, I knew they were quick & athletic last year.
WOS will be alot better this year after not loosing much and 2nd year under Wilkins and another new coach in to help him out they will be really tough, better not over look them  ;D ;D

BCoogs I understand your frustration and there are a number of decisions that have puzzled me throughout this season.  But in defense of the coaches, the team we played last night, not only shutout Anahuac, a team that beat us by 3 TD's , but also dominated Newton, another team that beat us by 21+ points.  At least in those 2 games, we were in them until halftime.  We were never in this game, EC is that good.  EC is no doubt the class of this district and has deservedly won the district crown again.  Congrats to EC on another title and good luck to you in the playoffs.  Lavergne and Roberts had solid perfomances among others for the Bucs tonight.  As for the Coogs, you never gave up, you guys got alot of heart and whether you know it or not, win or lose, all of us fans from Buna are proud of you.  Keep up the hard work and lets' beat the Eagles next week.  GO COUGARS!!!
Take it easy with that statement there.. They did not dominate Newton it was a close game all the way to the end..
that is ture Newton had the game won till the nut cuting than they gave it away, but all that matters is EC got the W
 9. like i said the only chance buna had was if they could stop roberts, and with 169 rushing yards and 4tds i dont think they stoped him. Roberts is by far in the top 5 in running backs in SETX

The Rebels will return three starters from last years State Runner Up team in shooting guard, Devon Murphy; small forward, Shawn Totten and point guard, Brandon Bruce. The Rebels lost the big senior class in numbers and height, but a couple of other players from last years team can be looked on to fill those wholes. Post, Kyle Taylor got plenty of playing time last season and playoff experience as well. Bradien Burford also was brought up from the JV by coach Laurence Williams so there are five players (four of those are seniors) who bring plenty of experience and knowledge of the system into this season. There are some talented players that will make the move up from the JV squad too!
Will The Rebels Win There Dist. ;D ;D ;D ;D
I think it will be a 3 team race this yr between Hull, BS, and the Rebs. The Rebs will be trying to replace 3 all dist big guys and learing to play a different style of ball. I look of them to strugel in predist. just like in football, but by the time dist. rolls around they should be playing good ball. The key to this yr, as in all yrs, is to limit the turnovers, and get their shooting guard open looks. They are going to be smaller than they have been in 3 yrs, so they will have to relia on speed and good shooting.
Evadale will be playing for 3rd this year after the loss of the 3 bigs last year all the look will be on #3 and every team will play a box and one on him and he want put up anywhere close to the numbers he put up last year this year.... its going to be hard to replace the 3 bigs, so there are going to be some other players step up and be able to draw a double team other than #3 to get him some looks
ya I like Evadales chances this year they have all the tools to win another district title. you're right other players will have to step up this year and be scorers, but Evadale will be just fine this year and your right it is hard to replace #32 and #43 those were some great bigs
yeah replacing the dist MVP and the dist leader in steals is goin to be really hard, and right now starting the season they only have one real thret (#3) thats why someone else is going to be able to step up and take some of the pressure off of #3
