Congrats, to the Pirates. Great season, was fun to watch.  Jeff, the coaching staff and players have definetly changed the culture in the program. Some of these kids have now played on two playoff teams. I do have one response to a comment though, about the school board needing recognition. Don't think so, this is not the same one that hired Jeff in 1999, I think only a couple were on the board when he was hired.  Also totally different administration.  Congrats to the former board members and administration for hiring Jeff and supporting him and his program. I'm sure that we all could argue bad call from mid county to orange county. I do have a family member who moved to Mid county years ago, and they tell me year in and year out, at their place they do get the majority of important calls.  They also say it does happen against the orange county schools. Its not that their are more flags towards one school or another, it just seems when the flags are thrown, it is a time in the game that it is hard to recover from.  Make up calls with one minute just make it look like both teams were called for fouls equally.  Remember this topic was started by an administrator of this site.

Any orange county team is down by 21 when getting off bus.  Always crucial flags called against orange county teams, that they never can recover from.  We always love those make up calls to late in gamesthough, that don't make up for the bad ones.

In response to Coach Welch, yes he is a great coach and we lucky have him.  I also think pn-g has a linebacker coach and line coach that has improved your program that recieved their first coaching jobs in vidor under the direction of mathews. I'm glad their improving your program.  I agree the penalty on vidor was called as late hit could have gone as horse collar though.  clark was pulled down backwards and was not called. I guess we can agree to disagree.

Being a Pirate fan, I want to say great job Indians. Yall were well prepared and played hard.  Good luck in the playoffs.  The only thing I noticed being not from pn-g was that the Arvie kid does need more carries, he definetly a force. Pirates great job, way to fight to the end.  In my opinion the two fumbles inside the indian territory really hurt us, also the obvious no call on the horse collar didn't help. That was definetly a game changing no call, and for the same ref to call it for the indians was crazy, but we halve to fight through those things and find ways to win.  Great job overall last night though. I hope if we indeed are in the playoffs right now. Next week we let our team heal. It looks like quirante is hurt along with bollinger. Good luck
