If the knee holds up this will be interesting.Esway can fly.The track team at Warren is a thing of the past unfortunately.They used to field a team every year that could compete with the best of em.It has died a slow and painful death.

Warren sent a busload to the regional tournament last year with Word and B Sims advancing to the the state meet.Word and Carnley are better as a team at this point this year.McBee and P Sims qualified for the regional tourney last year and won a couple of rounds before being eliminated.These 2 are very good athletes that haven't been playing tennis long.They could compete for the other regional berth.Jacobsen and Mitchell and Granger along with Casey Word will make this a pretty solid team.

If he brings his dad there an instant contender ;)

972,Thanks for that post.That's exactly what I was thinking.You just said it in a way that didn't offend anyone.I don't agree with getting the kids ready for college probably 1 in 500 will actually get the chance to play at the next level.

If McCarter is a clown,there are a lot of schools around here that could use a good laugh.The man knows basketball AND fans.I saw the hecklers in action several times this year and the school should be proud.The only fans close at Austin were the bunch from Jarrell,with a clinic or two from the HJ kids they could be legit. ;)

Didn't mean to be rude,just thought it was an odd post.I would rather win playing any style than lose .I thought these forums were all about opinions.I know once you get out of lil dribblers its more about winning than looking good or playing upbeat tempo.

Congrats Lions.After watching all the 2-a games it was clear you were in a class by yourself in Austin.

That may be the dumbest post I have ever read.I am no fan of the stall but I would sure rather have my team win than lose playing an upbeat style.It spreads the floor and forces teams to play man to man defenses which is a lost art these days.Dean Smith ran this at NC for years and I don't think confidence was an issue with MJ.The shot clock would weigh heavily in the favor of the clubs with the best athletes not necesarily the best teams.It would however make for some upbeat games.I just don't think it would be good for the high school game.

Not sure why the staggered district start,but it will benefit EC.They will have their#1 pitcher available.Swinney pitched deep into Tuesdays game and probably won't be available.He will shore up the middle infield but it could get very interesting from a pitching standpoint.Warren will hit the ball and they are at home so they pick up win #2. Josh Kirkpatrick,I think he came from Woodville.He has played pretty well at 2nd the times I have seen them .

Kountze has that swagger back.I wouldn't want to have to play em right now.I don't know anything about Whitewright but I'm goin with Kountze by 10.The folks from Warren will be at the drum yelling for our 24-aa counterparts.

I think they started 4 seniors this past weekend.Trey,Levi,Jimmy and Josh.Not sure if thats how they will go tomorrow,but I think they all started Saturday.

I hope that happens.I saw first hand what it did for the basketball program.Let the folks hired to do the job do it.Still need some depth on the pitching staff.I haven't seen Hardin either,I just hope the young club can win on the road.That would be a huge step toward a playoff berth.

Why in the world would they let him get away.I didn't know he ever coached at WH.I was referring to what I saw over there this past seaon and last year.

We're good,I just wish my kids could experience the Montagne when you have to read your buddies lips to know what there saying.Hopefully the glory days will return.I would hate to be the coach that followed Mrs. Ancelot at O-field,she has done a very good job there.
