1. Flooding?  Then they'd have to play water polo.
2. Look at the radar.  The rain is coming, it is just a matter of when the sky actually falls.  It has been raining big drops off and on here (near Lamar) since about 3 PM.
3. It is quicker to go through Bridge City anyway.  That way you also avoid the awesome motorcycle cop in Vidor that hangs out around I-10.
4. I will say that people in Nederland cannot drive at all.  I go there basically every day for work and people try to kill me with their cars every day - running stop signs, red lights, texting while driving, etc.  I will go farther away into Beaumont so that I can avoid Nederland drivers even though Nederland is actually closer to me than the west end of Beaumont.  So, avoid Vidor at all costs tonight...
5.
The incident that occurred in the late 90s (it was more like '97) was burned into the grass outside the field house and it said something like "Raiders Rule."  It was NOTHING like this and it was not the coaches then and it isn't now.
Wait, it was the coach then.  It was Coach Johnson who had come from Lumberton and only lasted a year (don't even think it was THAT long).  No one liked him or wanted him around.  He actually tried to change our mascot because he said Pirates were too violent.

7. I used to LOVE concession stand nachos when I was young.  When I was pregnant with my daughter years ago, I actually paid to get into a Vidor game just to buy some nachos and leave.
8. I remember a long, long time ago when I was a kid going to see Vidor play at PNG and having to park in a random neighborhood and walk to the stadium.  That sucked.
9. Not that I will be there, but my family has never had any issues.  But, of course, having family that lives across the street from the high school helps.  ;)
10. Looks like the Pirates have picked up right where they left off last year.
11.
He's still young. He'll learn.
Will he?  Or will he only get worse as time goes along because people allow it to continue?  Ndamukong Suh anyone?
12. And I think anyone who has seen my posts knows that I would frown upon anyone from Vidor doing that type of thing and would welcome the flag along with the punishment the player would assuredly receive from the coaches.
13. I remember the rule being enforced pretty regularly against teams like West Brook, Central, and TJ pretty extensively during the 90s.  It is not a necessary part of the game and that needs to be instilled from early on so we don't have so many idiots in the NFL AND in other parts of life. Oh so you can break the rules on your birthday and that's ok?  I'll remember that when my birthday comes around. I think the average IQ in this area is pretty low.
14. Celebrating a TD in high school football in Texas has not been tolerated for a long time.  If refs are not enforcing the rule across the board, that needs to be handled by their governing authority.  But, kids don't need to be doing that garbage.  Period.
15. The UIL cracked down on the celebrations a long time ago.  So, if the rules say two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties mean an ejection, it is fair.  He broke the rules and he took the consequences.  Doesn't mean he is a bad kid or is headed for a life of crime, but rules are rules.

52-0 anyone?  Homecoming no less, I do believe it was...
that's barbaric lol
Sorry, it was actually 54-20 and guess who it was?  LaPorte.....

18. Oh no, I am so upset LaMarque lost.....NOT.
19.
Great job moderators! That trash needed to be deleted!
You must work for BISD.  Is Emperor Thomas giving you some of the money he is skimming off of taxpayers?
20. Oh and delete my posts that tell the truth too.  This site is apparently full of sissies that cannot handle the truth.  I would have thought more of a group of men.  But, I guess not.
21. Don't bash anybody on this site. My post was changed, obviously.  I am not bashing, just telling the truth.  She does a great job of bashing herself just by continuing to write unintelligible stories.
22.

The LaMarque players who came off of the bench during the first fight should have all been ejected.  At any other level, players who come from the bench to fight are immediately ejected.  If that left LaMarque with not enough players to play the game, they would have to forfeit. The officials are to blame for letting the game get out of hand.  But, the parents of the LaMarque players and their coaches are also to blame.  They have a reputation for being a dirty team for a REASON.  They are the kind of team schools need to refuse to play if they are concerned about safety.  If nothing is done by the UIL, I'd like to see other schools boycott playing LaMarque.  A message needs to be sent that this type of behavior will not be condoned.
Good luck with that. It takes two to fight.  Some might be afraid to play a road game in Vidor when you consider reputation. True or not. Just sayin.
The schools in Beaumont have no issues playing a road game in Vidor.  The only school who seems to have issues with that is Crosby and we see what happened to them.  So, you can keep your FALSE judgments to yourself.  The only things I have stated are 100% true.
