Usually a knock-down drag-out affair. The '81 playoff featured over 1000 yards of offense, with Anthony Byerly running for Newton and Troy Bolton passing for Crockett. Here are the previous results. This has the makings of a great ballgame.

EC played good and Newton Played terrible.  Hopefully if both these teams make it to playoffs they can meet again.

Ok Wow this is a little early to throw the overated tag all over the team, They had a bad game the worst of the year and Ec played a great game. Things happen they just need to learn from this game and move on. They arent who we thought they were so let them off the hook

Go Texan cookoff in Newton at the fair grounds Friday night and Saturday if your hungry,  And last year everyone knew things would be rough after the loss of Curtis.

WOS or Silsbee, Silsbee has got some lucky breaks.  Someone is going to get the better of them in District.

I really see no one but Newton winning this district.

Newton had to many turnovers  and Silsbee converted on them turnovers .... #11 will be ok, Not the knee.... Also the Penalties in the First Half against Newton Killed them, there was a chop block or Holding  call on 4 Possession in the first half against Newton, then they added another right after the half. Fumbles again plagued the young Newton team..  Silsbee played Good and I'm Proud of Newton for not giving up the Fight.  That was a good Physical Game
