1.
Newton lost to a team that finally made them play 4 qtrs. Newton was unwilling to make any adjustments on Def. and looked like an un-prepared team on off. Newton should have won by 21 points. I feel like Newton missed a great opportunity to win state. I wish Coach Barbay was still alive !
Hmmm! ::) ::) ::)

Most of you respect coaches who put winning in perspective and teach players it's just one part of the game. Naturally, you want to win — but you also want the enjoyment of playing well, learning, and working as a team. A good coach isn't obsessed with winning but will motivate you and your team to want to win. But a few are driven to win above all else. The best lesson I learned from a coach is that if you put everything into whatever you do without give up you are winners regardless what the score said. I feel Coach Neece has brought this to Kirbyville! He is a man of compassion and will do whatever it takes to structure our young into true leaders on and off the field. I know this is little late to say this but welcome and happy that you are our AD. GO WILDCATS!  8)
good post +1
Thanks! He is a great guy!

 6. My pick would be Gilmer over Navasota if they in the state title!
 7. Hmmm! I am not for Navasota and hope that WOS wins! I have to be real! WOS has never face a very explosive offense like Navasota. They are the real deal! WOS cannot compete with Navasota structure and WOS defense will have their hands full trying to stop Navasota. This team in Navasota is the best that has ever come through. I wish both teams good luck and hope for no injuries. They where right about Navasota! 8)
 8. What is so funny about a team losing? Just because your team did not make the post season does mean you have the right to bash a program that made it. I did not cry when my team did not make it but I support our district and hope that the one team will bring the state title home to SETEX. I have certain teams I root for because I went there during my schools years but it show poor sportsmanship on your part and hope the same faith does not fall when your team might make the post season next year. 8)
 9. I here alot of  posting here about Navasota is unbeatable! Hmmmm! I do not think they have face a good defensive like La Marque. La Marque has a RICH tradition of state titles and year end and year out has made it to the post season many of times. The understanding I am getting is that Navasota finally has a great team (in how many years) so some of their fans take that as a sign of tradition and start beating their chest like they already won the state title. Like I say any team can be beat on any given day! Learn how to be respectful to your next opponent because that game could be Navasota last game of the year. Just a thought! Anyway! Good luck to both teams and pray for no injuries! 8)
 10.
I feel sorry for any team that plays Navasota no one will come close to beating them.
Do not count your eggs before they are hatch! Any team can be beat on any given day! Good luck on Navasota remaining season! 8)
 11. What kind of team does Axtell has beside making the play-offs? :)

Newton beat Daingerfield 21-0 in '98 at Homer Bryce Stadium.
Thanks! 8)
I wonder when Coldspring is gonna get the respect that others in the area get.  I mean we do have some history of winning.  The last two years we have to the finals and semi-finals.  Seems like everyone is always against us.  Not sure what the deal is.  We are one of the smallest 3a schools in the state and we play like one of the biggest.  The whole wiping the floor with us and all is just disrespectful to me.  We may not have a Sherman Gilbert this year, but I still think we got enough to get it done.  I guess we will see come Friday.  I think LaMarque is very dangerous and very good.  I remember watching them on film before the first matchup and I thought oh my goodness I don't know if we can beat them.  Now seeing what this has done this year I think they can compete with anyone. 15. The key to this game for Jasper is to apply pressure to the QB to get him out of his comfort zone! This would allow mistakes to be made and hopefully the secondary can capitalized on it. If Jasper play time control without mistake, this would keep the Navasota explosive offense off the field. The type of defense I would run would be a 4-2-5 that would protect against the pass or a 5-1-5 defense which would free up a linebacker to a defensive end to put pressure on the QB and the sweep and allow the one linebacker to protect the weak side plus the run up the middle. I feel if Jasper plays mistake free they could pull the upset. ;)
 16. Too hard to say! I will give it a shot! E.C.-22 Franklin-21 ;)
 17. Alot of love for the West Sabine Tigers! W.S.-28 Mart-7 :P
