I know I gave him a hard time throughout the year but that was just smack would have loved him on the bronx.
Nice post and we are all SMACK talkers, it all goes with being competitive.  I think it is pretty obvious that there were some "deals" made to get some of these kids names on the list. It appears to start with some of the First Team Defense and MVP.  I am shocked that Garrett Dolan is not there and even more shocked that Newcomb wasn't MVP and that Duke isn't on First Team Offense ...... These picks are "fishy" (Big Time).
 2.
stats came straight from the 19-4A Statistician's Spreadsheet.  He did miss Newcomb's return yards which was 179.  that would have made him #7 All-Purpose
All of the Barbers Hill official stats can be found at the THSCA's Pressbox Services website.  As for the totals, you have to also take into consideration the triple-option offense BH runs.  If Duke or Newcomb were not sharing the ball their totals would have been a lot higher.

I am so thankful that 20-4a got a win because I am thinking tomorrow night it will be 2-1 in favor 19-4a and after Saturday it will be 3-1.
Well.... There you go "thinking" again.  ::)
[move] 8)[/move]

Does not prevent you from running out the clock. Run up the score. I  don't care. Karma is a  beach.
Yes you do care.  Vidor just made all of the 19-4A loudmouths look like fools.
You just keep thinking that!!

 6.
Let's go Ozen sounds like you may be overlooked even though you have just as much team speed as a Crosby team that just beat BHills.
Team speed doesn't matter if you are up against a brick wall ..... you will see our defense back to true form Friday night ..... "just sayin"

Seriously?  Then you question his Kickoff return average by saying "Hard to believe he averages 41 yards" ..... To answer your question, he has only been on kickoff return for a few weeks, but in those few weeks, he has averaged 43.3 yards per cArry (no td's, but pretty impressive if you understand the triple-option offense).
Oops, I calculated wrong .... It is actually about 42.6, but whose counting?
yeah gamal averaged 60 yds a return last week
Not sure what your point is here ...... Gamal also had -1 total rushing yards with a -0.5 average last week, while Newcomb had 110 total rushing yards with a 10.0 average (Not to mention Newcomb's 49 yard k/o return to start the 2nd half).
 10.

With one game left, who ya got? Coach of the Year    (Ronnie Gage, BH) Newcomer of the Year  (The Crosby Twins) MVP  (?) Offensive MVP  (Tyler Newcomb, BH) Defensive MVP  (Ryan Reuter, BH) It was hard to type, but BH has gotten the job done this year.
I like Tyler for offensive MVP. He has the most carries thus the most yardage for us also. However,  Wade Duke has over a 7 ypc avg. also. Wade has been our big play in the clutch specialist, winning the Ned game with a touchdown in overtime, and the Dayton game with 22 seconds remaining. Probably our most versatile player on offense. Just wanted to give him some consideration. In any event, Newcomb is very deserving of any post season accolades he receives. And I do believe Tyler can play at the next level if he so chooses. Clay McDonald was also a district 1st team fullback last year and is doing a great job for us this yr. as well. Our whole defense should get the MVP but I would say that Reuter is the heart and soul. He should play D1 next yr. IMHO. Go BH!
Coach:  Definitely Ronnie Gage Defensive MVP should easily go to Reuter or Troxell; however, don't forget about Sexton, Dolan, Sarria, McMillan, Goundry, Pearson, etc.... MVP and Offensive MVP – Both Newcomb and Duke have earned their spot at the top of 19-4a; however, if I had to choose, I would have to go with Newcomb.  That kid is like that Energizer Bunny, he just keeps going and going and then right when you think he’s going to go down, he breaks free again.  As for the "clutch touchdowns" yeah,  #8 crossed the goal line, but I don't see either of those touchdowns happening without the huge/timely blocks by #20. They should both definitely be at the top of the voting when the time comes and I wish them both the best of luck.  BH OFFENSIVE STATS All Purpose Player Name              GP      Y        TD      PTS Tyler Newcomb          9 906      12      72 Wade Duke                9 827      10      60 Kaleb Denny              9 375      15      90 Clay McDonald            9      262      3        18 Rushing Averages Tyler Newcomb      7.5 Wade Duke            7.2 Kaleb Denny          5.4 Clay McDonald        5.2 Rushing Touchdowns Tyler Newcomb        9 Wade Duke            8 Kaleb Denny            5 Clay McDonald        3 Receiving Averages Ryan Brock            21.0 Richie Pearson        20.7 Wade Duke            19.0 Tyler Newcomb      11.8 Receiving Touchdowns Tyler Newcomb        3 Wade Duke              2 Richie Pearson          2 Tie                        1  (McMillon, Grey, Cauley) Kick-Off Return Averages Newcomb                  41.5 Jacobsen                  31.0 Robinson                  28.0 Duke                        24.8 GO BH Eagles !!

He wasn't suited out for the Lee game!
Not going to be back I hear, not injury related.  That is gonna hurt, but the replacement looked good against Lee.
Yep it didn't hurt us last week, but I thought it was thirty days .... Definately a great athlete.
 12. All of this and your own hometown newspaper only gives you a 4 point advantage???? [Hidden Content]

It was a late hit, but I can assure you it wasn't intentional. Good victory for the eagles!
It was obviously intentional and classless.
That hit was NOT as late as y'all keep posting....watch the game video ... It was a competitive hard fought battle by both teams, the adrenaline rush takes over & the only thing on your mind is tackling the man with the ball .... Those who have played the sport know exactly what I'm talking about.
