You people would SERIOUSLY take an all-state catcher and put him at first base???? Encalade is a good enough ballplayer that he can learn to play many positions. I just don't see him being the caliber catcher that Jackson or Robertson is and the plate is imperative in this level of ballplaying. Nothing personal, just an opinion.

I"m really starting to believe that Juniors and Seniors should just join the chess club or checkers team. Seems as if nobody really has use for upperclassmen anymore!

The lady last night was there to take pictures of a particular kid at the request of his parent.

I might be a little partial, but I definitely think he's been overlooked.

That's Robert Shellhammer, I believe. I've always though he was an exceptional ballplayer. I remember him catching the last couple of years and he was outstanding there too.

Maybe, since he's been pretty much a straight A student all through High School and an honor graduate, he was offered an academic scholarship.

We should all want BC and Jasper to win!

I would also think that we, as so called adults in the community, parents, coaches, posters, etc etc. would THINK before reacting to anything relative to pointing out or hurting ANY child. But do we? Not all the time, and sometimes Not at all!
