1. I didnt read the thread you'll are talking about but I can see where it would be highly embarassing for whomever Bobcat paid for if names were mentioned and I would hope that didnt happen. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the comment he made was not in an effort to brag about anything he's done, but to clarify that he and bleed were in no way racist. These comments came after there were comments made about the race of the referee in the OF/Navasota game and the horrible call he made. Bobcats comment was simply to clarify the accusations that he and bleed were racist, not an attempt to obtain a pat on the back. At least that's my perception of the entire thread.
2. You don't know what you are talking about. He was only stating he was not racially bais. He paid for my child and I am thankful and I told him so. We are totally off topic here but, you people know nothing about this guy. While I have not always agreed with everything he does or his tactics, and have certainly butted heads with him over many issues, he's still a big hearted person. Regardless of what any of you might think. You don't know him or his family the way that some of us do. I can tell you that once he gave me several hundred dollars to buy an economically disadvantaged child new school clothes and shoes. When he brought me the money, he asked me to please not tell the child or her parents where the money came from and to just let them think that I had done it myself. That was probably about 6 or 7 years ago and those people still don't know. He never got the pat on the back or thanked for it (other than from myself, which doesn't really matter). He has given many kids jobs, taken in troubled teenagers and worked with them. It doesn't take a college degree to be a teacher or coach. You all missed the point.
3. My Oh My....I seriously was not going to post on this particular topic because I absolutely do not have a dog in the hunt, nor do I have a child in an Orangefield school, but since others have given their 2 cents worth..... First off, I've been watching these kids play ball for a long time, as my daughter previously played AAU ball for "Coach Wanna Be", and this was really a no brainer. This is the exact same scenario that was done to Christina Jaques in the softball picks last year. (and NO, I don't have a kid in Bridge City either) Very same thing, no difference. Secondly, back when my daughter (who is out of school) played basketball, she learned more from Bobcat4life, THE "coach wanna be", than anybody else, bar none. Little Dribblers, Jr High or High School coaches combined. There are some posters here who ALWAYS have an opinion relative to Orangefield's players, parents and posters. That isn't an excuse or paranoia, it's just fact.
4. That's probably correct, but this particular thread was entitled "positive" feedback and immediately they started bashing Billy.
5. This thread is a nobrainer! If KK Little doesn't get MVP that would be the biggest injustice that District 21-3A has done in the history of districts. Orangefield had a very good team this year, but what would they have done without her? Come on people.
6. Like I said in the original post....EVERYONE is entitled to their opinions....mine was just an observation, and I certainly did not call YOU out, GD.
7. Am I the only one that thinks all this was about taking the heat off of Bonds?
8. Looks like Pettitte is the only one who's told the truth.
9. I'm really confused about the seemingly double standard rules of this site. It's preached and preached that there will be no slamming of coaches and kids, but Dylan Muhollan and Coach Bryant continuously are slammed (and while people are certainly entitled to their opinions) it seems to be allowed in this case, but not others. Just an observation. Good Luck to the Cards. They'll do fine with their young team.
10. Not me! Have been enjoying my boys in sports since they were 5 years old! And won't stop till the last game is played! And it will be here in the blink of an eye! I'm so excited and extremely sad about this baseball season.
11. You people are missing the best part of your kids.
12. Agreed. I guess I failed to get to that point. Parent's can make practice alot of fun and rewarding if it's done right and kids do have more fun if they're performing well. Parents just have to accept the kids talents, abilities and limitations for what they are and enjoy every minute they have with them.
13. I have an older son and a younger one as well. I learned alot with the oldest. One of the things that I learned is that parents are so busy trying to make sure that their child is the shining star that they miss the good stuff. They can't even enjoy their child growing up because of egos and what not. Fortunately, I've been given a second chance, but it doesn't undo anything that the older one had to endure. All I can tell you parents of young kids, is that when you wake up tomorrow, it's over with and you've absolutely missed all the good, funny things that kids do. Sad thing is that it just doesn't make a difference if they were the best or not. Most of the kids aren't going to remember who was the best at anything, but they will remember how their parents acted in public and treated them because they weren't living up to mom's or dad's expectations. ENJOY your kids, have fun with them, life is way to short.
14.
OF will be good!!!!
They are going to be very good, and if anybody has seen Daniel Teal play ball, they know that he will help that team, ALOT...if they let him.
15.
this thread is comical
All threads are comical, if you really think about it.
I thought that's what a sleeper was. Somebody who suprises someone else.
I don't know why anybody would be surprised that OF would do very well this year.  They have alot of good strong talent and some of you are probably selling them short.

18. That's probably true, but can there possibly be a productive outcome from hashing this topic, once again?
19. Girls age 5 play T-Ball. Don't forget.....ALL VIDOR GIRLS are eligible to play softball in Bridge City Little League. In fact, all Orange County girls in general are eligible to play softball in BCLL due to the fact that the only two Little Leagues are Vidor and BC, and VLL does not offer a girls program.
20. I guess I could have been a planet, but some would call me the floppy ear dog on Disney! I suppose that either way, my opinion is "goofy" according to the voices in Silsbee! ;D
21. They could very possibly be the "best" players in the area, but not necessarily. Just the best of those that pursued that avenue of baseball. There are many, many kids out there that are very good that never pursue that type of baseball.
