I think Zimmerman has become the most solid player on the png mid or defensive end of the field. Doing great job defending and getting up on the attack.

Well its true that vidor would be a fun group, lumberton is solid, and west brook has a good team that needs some coaching. So maybe we do see some stuff the same afterall.

I am going to say the Silsbee keeper is the most comfortable in the goal. With what he has helping him in the back and the mess he has in front of his goal all the time. He steps out and knows where he is and usually catches not punches the ball. He gives up several goals but vast majority is not his fault.

As far as the freshman I have seen. Not knowing what somes job duites may be. 6 for nederland plays center mid and distributes the ball excellent. As good as any midfielder I have seen. Needs to challenge a bit more but excellent. Or the little 11 for nederland who shuts down whoever he marks. Seems to have a good knowledge of his job duties, shut the attacker down.

Well for all you younger players part and a history lesson. If your upset over the score. You should have been around here when the previous coach at nederland and png would more than happily run up a fourteenn point or fifteen point to zero game against weak teams. As some of the older players from weaker schools.. You still have a NhS girls team that will run the score up against a weaker team for whatever reason.

I was able to watch this game. Simple what happened. Nederland dominated time of possession and shots on goals. Silsbee however dominated balls in the back of the net. One goal for silsbee was a great goal, their fourth. Cant really tell how it happend but great finish. Third goal by silsbee was a KICK from about thirty yards away that set in the air and slowly passed over thier keeper into the back of the net, not a good goal and i doubt was a shot. First silsbee goal was mishandled by nederland and three nederland defenders stood and watched the silsbee player hustle the ball in the net from about eight yards out. Second silsbee goal was an own goal a shot deflected off hte nederland defender into the near post while the keeper was defending far post. .. Nederlands first goal was a thirty yard launch that I would say was the same exact goal as silsbee... their second goal was a great goal by washburn who dribbled in and beat one then two then the third he knocked it past the keeper. after that nederland had many other opportunities but none went in. Silsbee hit long balls into the defense and put four in the net.. Nederland had no drive at the end of the game losing by one goal. to many players walking around and no hustle. Good game as far as entertaining... silsbee scored first two goals then nederland then silsbee scored next two then nederland got two.. final 4-3.

The problem is the chat from the jv is like their play, unentertaining. And quite boring. Sure your playing and some play great, the bad part is your happy being there. The object is to work your way off of JV. So quit typing and go work on your skills and shots and play.

the post site has gotten dead so lets see who has something to say about disappointing seasons.. VARSITY ONLY. I would say Kelly not going further, had they taken care of ST Thomas during regular season. Maybe Vidor after their skid of losses. How about LCM who has been relagated to the bottom three I believe. PNG with their fistful of upperclassman who have played and still struggling to make playoffs for the first time in many years.. West Brook who has not scored a goal for four games until they finally beat Memorial.

there is no tie... 3 for win... 0 for loss.. 2 for win in shootout or overtime.. 1 for loss in overtime or shootout.. hope its rite.. pretty sure it is..

Any word on who won and score and how it went..... anyone know anything.. help us soccer junkies.

well the votes are pretty even. those of you who have played these two teams. what do you think..

Having seen both teams play. Its simple. This game is a coin flip. Defensively advantage goes to Nederland. Offensively PNG has more speed and attacking around the goal. Midfield dead heat. Youngster for Nederland will have his hands full with the hacking of the Hayes kid. Goalkeeping nederlands advantage. Coaching Bledsoe has a better grip on his team than PNG coach. So tilting advantage to PNG is the upperclassman advantage in that more of their players have played in this game before.. But Nederlands youth is strong group and out of eleven starters.. five or six for nederland have not played in the png ned rivalry. So being the highly knowledgable soccer person I consider myself my pick is.... heads nederland wins.. tails png wins..... and the winnner is going to be.............

if this is a jv site then yes nederland and png jv tie. if its a varsity post then .. who knows..

Tonight I went to watch a soccer game and a kickball match broke out. Ashame to see two teams that can play soccer get caught up for five and ten minute periods of kick kick kick.. Then png would put together some passes and then vidor then bang bang bang. Hand ball at the end of the game by pngs sweeper not once but twice in the same play.. not only did the original shot hit him in the hands but he fell on top of the ball and covered it with his hand. That didnt stop the team that deserved it from winning the game as png had a shot hit the post and a couple of others that could have been put away. Vidor had very few opportunities but did start out controlling the first several minutes and after that it was a dead heat . A entertaining game but nothing special. Vidor where did your team go that I had grown so fond of.

Look at what positions are hardest to fill. A sweeper is the second hardest on the field. Any position down the center of the field is hard because your surrounded on all sides with turmoil. outside mid on right doesnt have much to worry aobut to his right except out of bounds and fans, and same on the left except nothing to their left. Keeper, Sweeper ,, but then if sweeper is great .. keeper has not much to do.. so maybe its the sweeper.

Good luck Kelly. Hope to have a state semifinal game closer so maybe we can watch. Who would be next in line for you guys.

Remember before you say that you have freshman so its an excuse. Nederland has seven fish on their varsity of which four or five start and at many times a game you will see six on the field at a time. So I agree with the silsbee guy who said they will be the varsity. Go tigers keep the streak alive.
