  1. that is weird. OCM You are now saying that that style would create more opportunities and like it.. And that is exactly what Nederland is doing, Kelly does and any club team that we have seen who plays for the Kelly coach do. Next thing, whether the kids are hustling and accomplishing this is to be seen. They are still kids and not professionals. The strategy works for the talent level these teams have. Some of the kids playing in Houston would probably have a better chance of accomplishing this with the speed, and the talent that accumulates in one area. I still believe the better coaches put their team together for what they have not for what the parents want. Kids are put where needed, not where parents want. If the coaches did not do this then they would not be in coaching positions. I have to go with any coach and whatever their reasoning is for their decisions, whether they are correct or incorrect.
  2. Strange part is you guys have played a total of three games. Scored 4 in a game against Memorial, and a goal against Lumberton. Have had many opportunites to score. And already second guessing strategy. These are 15-18 year old boys to young men. Scoring is not easy and neither is developing the opportunity to score. Lay off and let the coaches do their job. Good or bad they are in charge.
  3. can any age come. And is this a tryout.. I iddnt get my letter about the tryouts.
  4. its all about discussion.. its not about trying to hurt someones feelings or to say things that are rude. i am not going to bash any player on this post unless of course they are doing something that is completely wrong... to others are to themselves. we dont have to agree on things and i woudlnt want it that way makes for boring discussions. again good luck kelly players.
  5. I agree with newcastle.. and when central hits the road against the stronger teams in district they probably will lose another game or two.
  6. i didnt refer to either of them as jackasses.. i referred to them the way yall described them.. hard shot. hard shot.. very few goalkeeprs can catch it. i said i can get a jackass to wack a ball in reference to a realy animal not any player. also do you ever give credit to anyone you havent trained or worked with. i have never met matt kirby or yea yea and i still will say without a doubt they are awesome players. you say how good they are but always throw out they worked with you.. and without a doubt i am sure your a great coach and trainer because all the post say so.... i love the game and i love this post site.... if the guy from west brook was a shooter maybe they would have scored a goal in their last five games... i beleive they have scored one sorry... again go kelly good luck in playoffs. i would like a closer game so i can see the next round..
  7. simple .. lumberton wins and easily... pressure centrals defenders and they cant clear it .. lumberton scored 6 gives up 2... yea yea feast on this group and garza puts two in also...
  8. This post is kinda ridiculous. Are we asking who kicks the s..t out of a ball or who can score good goals. The answers for the two big guys from west brook and kelly is about size and slamming the back of the goal. obviously the west brook kid isnt doing any scoring. and are jsmity and jlamar the same because you agree and get sappy about agreeing. i look to who is putting the ball in the net ... whether its power or finesse.. but it gets in the side netter. now come on.. trahan is scoring and has scored soem good goals.. yea yea for lumberton is also. i can get a jackass to kick the hell out of a ball but that doesnt make him a striker. it makes him a great kickballer . lets look for some placement and goal scorers. By the way go kelly good luck this weekend.
  9. Nederland JV wins by three. now thats my pick.. whats yours and why. i say nederland because they have more players that play soccer.
  10. I have probably watched png more than Nederland. Both teams are greatly improved. However last night seems ned struggled against png and png struggled against Vidor. Who will it be and if you have played both teams say why... thanks
  11. I agree shark. The team that deserved to win . did win. the soccer game i hoped i would get to watch never did show up. well sad turn of events . and yes the hand ball at the end was interesting. congrats png.
  12. By the way .. vidor wins... 4-2
  13. if i can stay awake the whole jv game i am sure i will see some great shots on goal up front for png.. cuz this striker guy is pretty proud... lets see it buddy..... and i will be the first one on here tonight to sing your praises...give it a good wack for us all..
  14. there aint no way that a keeper is the most difficult position on the field. maybe noticed because he gets blamed for goals and hardly no credit for shots saved. the keepers that are great make the easy saves and stops some great saves.. too too many keepers can make the great saves becuase there is no pressure .. if they make the save hero.. if they dont . a great shot.. but way way too many keepers let in too many easy shots. thats not difficult in shape position thats all mental. sweeper and on up the middle is the most difficult hands down. if your that tired after a game at keeper than your team sucks are your diving way too much and not on your feet.. or possibly your picking up balls in back of the net getting some stomach crunches in.. and the kid from png striker.. i cant wait to take notice of you on the field tongith what number would i be looking for so i can see the monkey kicking crap player. .. thanks
