Just got off of the phone with Mike and the game will be continued in Madisonville. Here is the catch, Buffalo and East Bernard are currently playing Game 2 of their best of 3 series. So the time when the game will resume will depend on the result of that series. That COULD go to a 3rd game. It is going to be a loooooong night Silsbee fans!

Just got off of the phone with Mike and the status is this: They are still in a weather delay at Humble H.S.. They plan on waiting until 5:30 to see if the weather clears there. If not, they will be moving to another venue, TBD. They have been on the phone with other sites and probably have them lined up. However, those sites have not been disclosed

Just got word on twitter. Game 3 is being moved to Sweeny at 7:00 pm

What saves BC is that they got Game 2 in before the rains came. Since the series is now tied at 1-1, they will play Monday if they can't play tonight according the UIL rules. Had Game 2 not been completed and they could play no more today, then it would have been a 1 game series will Bellville advancing.

I have not seen anything in the rules, but my recollection (for what that is worth) is that you are correct.

Actually, I just looked at the rules sec 1220 (h2) says that if two games have been played and split and third game cannot be completed, the game should be played on Monday

Yes, Mike and Tim are going to close down for now. If things clear up and the rain leaves the area, they may be able to continue. Stay tuned as we all wait and see on that.
