I believe Mike Pierce former long time WOS asst. football coach was QB on that '84 Vidor team, before moving on to become an All American defensive back at McNeese. That '84 Bmt. French team had some solid players & coaches on that state title run where they were double digit underdogs in every playoff game. Steve Shaver-HC, Mark Gilbeaux at QB, Paul Jones at RB, Melvin Turner at TE\DE, Jeff Turner at FB\LB, Willie Williams, Cedric Jones & Keith Wycoff were a tough 3 man WR group to cover. Those were some good times for Bmt. high school Football.

Nederland players as a group were more exp. & skilled last year then this years team & stepped up big that game. Caught BH dealing with some injuries missing a few players & made mistakes they usually don't make. Probably over looking Nederland that game & at the playoffs. Agree 100%. Dayton WR core was legit, need to find ways to get any of them big, fast dudes the ball more & reduce the QB getting hit so much

Noticed some new players got opportunities to play over certain players who never earned starting spots & played better then the coaches favorites… playing more of ur best players both ways in certain key situations was a new move that was needed also. A playoff berth this year might get Barrow & staff a 10 year extension😎

Ned D made the stops when needed the last 5 mins. Dayton OC calling 15 QB keepers to the short side of the field into the teeth of Ned D didn’t help their chances of winning

If the H.F. QB & Tezeno keep making the throws & plays they have all season, I believe they will be what gets H.F. the win in this game. My toughest pick'ems decision this week.

BH wins because of more overall volleyball talented\skilled starters, more quality depth, more exp. vs better competition pre-district & a more exp. coaching staff. BH is just a better athletic program from top to bottom in all sports then the GOLDEN TRIANGLE schools the last several years.

I agree Stump is the best head football coach to coach at a Beaumont school since Alex Durley. Mr. Durley is by far the best overall & has the record to prove it.
