1. I am in no big hurry to find out, so Dogs just keep winning!
2. Really impressive as both a kicker and punter...I knew when I saw him warming up that Nederland would likely not be returning any punts due to his hang time...actually negated a pretty significant strength for the Bulldogs. Congrats, Juan on an excellent career...definitely one of the best HS kickers/punters I have ever seen...best of luck at the next level
3. Once the top 4 make the playoffs, they then split them up according to enrollment, which I think is ridicluous...if the enrollments are fair enough during the season, it should be good during the playoffs...I personally prefer one state champ in each class as well and I would much prefer 3 teams in the playoffs rather than 4...top seed could get a bye and let the 2 and 3 seeds from each district play each other. that's my opinion..I am quite certain that the uil could care less...lol
4. I agree and can easily see all 4 teams winning this weekend
5. this thread ain't about sc...Nederland  28, PC 14
6. does anyone know what the thought process was on having austin teams in region 3?...personally, I like it because we get to play some teams that we don't typically see this early, but I just found the shake up an interesting point of conversation
7. I think 2006...it was a really good run for them
8. I had my own theory on the Nederland/Dayton thread
9. couldn't resist could ya, BHfan???  lol... :o :o
10.
Some really good points have been made about Nederland.  SC MUST GET BY GTOWN ...it really looks like things could actually get EASIER over the next two games depending how this weekend goes. That brings me to another point, I'm sorta perplexed by how the opening match ups were drawn.  Shouldn't the best teams (undefeated/district champ) get the easier opponents?  SC sure looks like we got a 1, 2 punch out the gate.  I think Nederland, BH, and Crosby should write SC a thank you letter for taking the tougher opponents in 4A D1 thus far.
the letter is in the mail...go wait for it
11. no fair...you will have at least a one week head start on me
12. we all know how important scrimmage results are in Dayton, plus we know that based on what we heard last week that Dayton threw the SC game, so with all of that info, it made perfect sense to me
13. Dayton threw this game so Nederland would be overconfident for the scrimmage next year
14. I can't believe that HJ missed 5 threes in the first half...I don't remember the misses...if HJ shoots the way they did in the first half, they will be hard for anyone to beat...that was quite a display
15. we didn't have to score more than 8 points to beat Dayton, so you are wrong there
16. pretty good couple of days of football for you liltex...good stuff
17. Dayton did not stay with them...they were down 21-0 and nearly doubled in total yardage...Nederland does not play the same style offense that you guys do...Oregon was pretty impressive offensively until they met Stanford...either way, at this point it really doesn't matter because both teams have plenty to occupy them before we even think of a Nederland/sc matchup...
18.

Here's the thing, each week from PN-G to Crosby to BH to the mighty Dayton and last week hard nosed Vidor, SC was told they were in trouble. Each time we came out and over powered the competition with our high powered offense. I'm convinced NO team has seen an offense like SC this year. PN-G, Crosby, Dayton & Vidor are all very proud teams that never imagined it was possible to have 45+ points hung on 'em.  I'm not about to start doubting SC's offense now. SC's defense is the wild card in this game. They need to have a solid game and keep Georgetown to slow scores.  Our DB's need some picks.  The arm tackles must stop. I've never seen Georgetown play and I'm really curious to see if they're the another "great team" that's never seen a team of SC's level.
I cannot wait until a team blows out the Mighty Summer Creek Bulldawgs... Rather it will be Pearland Dawson or Nederland.
Nederland couldn't score on Sc unless they purposely let them!  ;D ;D
and Dayton won't score on anyone else for the rest of the year
19. SC dad, Nederland did play their starters for the entire vidor game...I am going from memory, but I think vidor had like 245 yards against Nederland, but I will have to check...pretty confident it was less than 300...also, Montana has always played both ways...he does it every game and kudos to the kid for being able to...I watched the vidor/Nederland game and the vidor/SC game live and honestly, Nederland's D was much more succesful than SC's, but we are much more familiar with that offense...you also play a much more up tempo offense which leads to more plays for both teams, thus the opportunity for more yards/points...that is also one of the reason that you can never compare scores when talking about Nederland...if we get a lead, the game slows to our pace and we put the game in the hands of our defense...this leads to less scoring for our O, but more W's for the team.
20. 14, Nederland beat you...quit making excuses for it and move on...you assume that Crosby is the only team in the world that has gotten better since then...market cornered on improvement...Nederland dominated you, period. I have seen film on Manor and do believe that Crosby can beat them...I have also seen GT as well as SC and I have to give the edge to SC...I will reserve my prediction for the Nederland game until tomorrow
21. Nederland's O has done more than that...they average over 30 points per game and that is more than enough to win with the D they have
22. I could actually see all 4 winning, although I know the least about Elgin
23. How about if Montana would have played for his dad's alma mater and been a Bulldog?
24. IMO, Mitchell was the most dangerous QB in the district this season...the kid is a really good player and with his size and arm, he can play at the next level...he reminded me of Trey Green somewhat, but I do feel as though Trey had a better supporting cast...that makes a difference
