Texas Prep Softball posted their 1st ever preseason rankings today.

I, along with many coaches, feel that the state "poll" is crapola. It's not a poll -- it's the opinion of one person, who reads emails that people send to him. Many coaches have asked me to start a ranking because I keep up with standings and scores, but this state is so big.... just hard to do... I tried a couple of years ago to get 6A coaches to vote for experimental poll, but I could only get about 20 to vote and it wasn't a representative sample from across the state.

Yes -- all of the answers in this thread are correct. Made 25 of those meetings in my career! When it gets sticky is when some coaches tell their players before everyone is out of the playoff... happened a few times and then I have to field questions and it made some mad because I still wouldn't say. Focus on playoffs was first.

I've been told Evadale / Weimar will be at Tomball HS. Sent to me from radio station in LaGrange.

I forgot to say that anyone can post on the brackets as long as they sign in and request permission and I'll grant as soon as I get it. Last year, someone came on and sabotaged 5A, but I was able to go back and restore.. one good thing about Google docs.

Don't forget to check txprepsoftball.net as well as I'm adding brackets as I can find them... The Roy Report and I are sharing information with each other as I got a little behind this weekend because I took my mother to our family reunion. Don't know how many more she'll get to go to at 93, but she enjoyed the trip.

I know and I'm tracking down the entire state. My only issues are far north Panhandle in 2A, West Texas in 3A, East Texas in 2A. Lots of coaches help me out and post on our website so we can all help each other out so everyone knows where each other stands especially as we get closer to the playoffs. I've always gotten good info from my friends on here in the Golden Triangle, so I'm always happy to help out.

Ok, here is where I'm having difficulty.... By going through all of the individual Gamechanger accounts and making a spread sheet of scores, East Chambers has to be 0-8. Also did Buna and Deweyville play on March 15th? If so and Buna won, then the only thing I found that could be incorrect is East Chambers. Here's my list from the spreadsheet Gamechanger for Buna has them at 6-1.. Warren (W), Kountze (L), Deweyville (NR), Hardin (W), Anahuac (W), Kirbyville (W), East Chambers (W), Warren (W). I used Kountze's Gamechanger account to get 4-4, but figured out that I can't count!! That's why I taught English, not Math - lol. So I have 5-3 My screw up -- but then someone else's record is not correct... I get 32-30 instead of 31-31. I'll research.

Mosshill had it correct all along. It was TeamplayerA that said that Kountze was 5-3 was what had me question.

If Kountze is 5-3, then somebody else's record is incorrect... the number of wins and loss added up for all of the teams should be equal at 27. If Kountze is 5-3, then the district wins for everyone is 28 and losses 26. ETA - Just checked Kountze Gamechanger and they have: W - Deweyville, W - Buna, L - Hardin, L - Anahuac, L - Kirbyville, W - East Chambers, W - Warren, and W - Deweyville (last night) -- 4-4
