I think the young McGallion is the sleeper on the squad. A lot of talent on the Silsbee squad with big Cooksey in the paint, Bush raining threes, Schmidt (Man he must work out) is so strong, Hickman posting up, Morgan has 5 fouls to give and great at giving out water!

Again way to go Kayla! Her father coached me in high school and its neat to get the chance to return the favor! Started watching this kid play when she was with the Slammers and have had the pleasure of coaching her through HS ball (got one last season to go). Not only is she a great ball player and a good student she has turned out to be a great young women!

I think that they should feed off of each other in a perfect world. I have had the luck of working with some great select programs and will continue to do so. Select programs are what have helped build my program at the high school level no doubt. We don't have an athletics class for softball and I dont see my kids until the end of January each year so we are playing catch up. I have players that dont play select and have been sucessful and do a great job for us. I always encourage mine to play as much as they can. I also try to make it out to the tournments when I can and support my guys! So I ask this why does it have to be One against the other why cant we all just get along! ;D

well i thought this was an opinion fourm.. Can anyone say 1st admendment. Right to free speach and such. I believe there might be some case law out there when a free, tax paying, law abiding American citizen post something on an OPINION FORUM. Well here is my opinion, we pay coaches to coach. When we pay our hard earned tax dollars we are making an investment and we should expect a good return on the investmant. A coach should coach and not demean a child or break school policy. I"M DUN OK I have set out long enough here is my 2 cents. Free speech yes slander no! Unless you have facts that you can prove in the court of law then it is slander. It is easy to come on a OPINION FORUM and hide behind a screen name. I think sometimes people forget that this is what coaches do for a living it is not a hobby or something they do for fun. Just because you disagree with the coaches decisions doesn't make them the wrong decisions. This is not the place to slam a coach just have a meeting sit down like a grown up and try to work with your coach not against him/her.
