I think Livingston will give us all we want as well, But i keep hearing the don't have a good Defense. If that is true then that will be the difference in this game.
Keep talking until Friday, your talk will change believe me. ;D
Someone has to talk to keep this crawling thread alive. I don't know jack about Livingston except for what info. I can find like...... Livingston has 2071 total yards for the season while BH has 3686 yards Livingston has 1528 rushing yards for an average of 5.27 YPC while BH has 2973 Rushing yards for an average of 6.76 YPC Livingston has thrown for 543 yards at 12.07 YPC while BH has thrown for 713 yards for 16.58 YPC. Livingston has had the tougher over all schedule and thier like opponents are Dayton and Lumberton which Livingston lost to Dayton 28-13 while BH Lost to Dayton 13-6 (I think both of our starting QB's were out against Dayton) We Both Beat Lumberton ...Livingston did 55-14 BH did 58-8... Outside of that tell me more ;)
I will tell you more. BH is racking up all those yards against powerhouse teams such as King, KP, Porter, Humble, New Caney, and Lumberton. They outscored those teams by an average of 48-4. Plus they played a team from Mexico. Livingston did play Lumberton, but all the other teams on their schedule were at least average or better. So, throw out the stats. Still a toss-up game.

I'm just saying that Livingston has played a much tougher 10 game schedule, even with their victories. BH's 7 wins were against horrible competition. Although, they did play tough in the 3 games they lost. Still an even matchup to me even though BH's crappy district doesn't help to prepare them week in and week out.

Nederland, Vidor, Dayton, Silsbee, and 5-A College Park. You be the judge.
-
BH only played 3 games all year against tough competition and lost all 3. Livingston has played a very tough schedule and I think that will better prepare them for this game. Pretty even matchup, but I'll lean with Livingston.

Round 1: Brenham Cubs VS Elgin Wildcats- Predictions?

I don't see a 28 point win here, but I think Brenham gets its done. I'll take the 31-14 prediction. -
Groveton at Deweyville Game Thread/Pirates win 66-28!!
Eazy replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Congrats to Deweyville. They will easily advance to the 2nd round. -
Magnolia played everybody tough this year except Brenham. Most of the district games tonight didn't mean anything. The 18-4a playoff teams were pretty much as expected at the beginning of the year.

4A Region 3 Playoff Match Ups Updated 11/8/12
Eazy replied to BrenhamFan's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
D1 is clearly tougher than D2. Those 1st round games between 19-4A and 20-4A are going to be awesome. Plus add Georgetown and Pearland Dawson and that makes for a very tough region. D2 has undefeated teams FB Marshall and North Forest, who have both had very weak schedules. North Forest's closest game was 43-0 as they have just feasted on weak HISD schools. Brenham has a very good shot to win this region. -
The fall of 82 was Deweyville's last district title, and the Pirate's third in as many years. The Pirates finished the season undefeated that year. They were then beat 30-0 by Garrison in the bi-district round of the playoffs. Deweyville has made the playoffs 4 more times over the years in 2nd or 3rd place, but is 0-7 in playoff games. When the Pirates beat Groveton Friday night it will be the first District title in 30 years. The Pirates are big and powerful on the O-line. The line averages 252 lbs. from tackle to tightend and they are mean and nasty. The best I have seen at Deweyville. Our stable of backs are really strong and they run hard. Coach Babin has done an outstanding job this year and will have the boys ready to play. Groveton may have the fastest, most talented backfield in the Distict, but the Pirates will be to much for the Indians. Deweyville 57 Groveton 24 GO PiRATES!!!!
The New Waverly folks said that they were definitely mean and nasty. Groveton might want to get the cups out. -
The winner gets an easier 1st round against Groesbeck, but would draw Navasota in the 2nd round. So, the loser of this game actually has a better chance to make it to the 3rd round.
-
Should be a great game that goes to the wire. The loser gets a little tougher 1st round game against Fairfield.

Groveton @ Deweyville, playoff berth to the winner
Eazy replied to SteelerCzy's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Deweyville completely outplayed and outcoached New Waverly. They just manhandled NW on the line. If they bring that same effort against Groveton, I'll say they win 54-27. Groveton has had a couple bad games, but they have played both NW and Corrigan close. It's all on the line so I would expect their best effort here. -
Deweyville should be the 1 seed due to point differential. D = -3,+21=18. NW = +21,-21=0. CC = +3,-21=-18. However. Deweyville still must defeat Groveton to even make the playoffs. Groveton needs to win to tie Deweyville at 3-2, and they would have the head to head tiebreaker. Groveton is good enough to win this so Deweyville has to bring it again like they did against NW.

Poor Porter. Lose to both Humble and New Caney.
