And try not to forget that we are talking about the future leaders of this nation. And these people who own multiple properties and business are NOT the ones that keep School Bonds from passing. It is your average homeowner who thinks their property taxes are going to sky rocket. Or worse yet, the fixed income retired people who's property taxes are "locked" and won't even go up if a Bond is passed.

The cost of a 20-30 MILLION dollar bond package cost the average home owner about as much as they spend on coffee and doughnuts. Really people, we spend more money on fast food, cigarettes and liquor than we do on our children's education and athletics are a big part of education.

As far as seating (home a visitors), parking, lighting and playing field, Livingston has to near the top. It is amazing to me that they built that multi-million dollar school and id not build a Stadium on the campus.

i AGREE 100 and the reasoning was stupid. The event was too recent??? Really??? The whole the reason the schools are combining is because of the HURRICANE!!! They will be reminded of the event for the rest of the time they are in school. And the school name, UNITED, because of the Hurricane.

Obviously these are just "concepts" that we are throwing out there as quick suggestions to the possible Logo. Hopefully BISD has employed some graphic designers to generate the future trademark of Beaumont United High School. We are just playing with some ideas.

Yes, but LCM got stuck with Navasota and Silsbee. There are NO Navasota's and NO Silsbee's in this district. Splendora and Livingston are below average athletically and neither is coached exceptionally well.

Oh it's a LONG SHOT, but stranger things have happened. Lumberton will probably win thier district, but beating Silsbee is not going to happen.

Not sure that is happening, but it is always good to have a dream.

QB will definitely be missed, and I didn't see anything that even remotely resembled a Varsity QB in the program. RB's will be the strength of the Offense and as long as your not playing Carthage the Secondary should be able to hold up. The key to Silsbee's success will be how good the O-Line and D-Line are.

Do we have an "OFFICIAL" school name, mascot and color combination?
