Not beating Crockett. Crockett started a ton of Sophomores and still beat Trinity last year. Trinity may be improved next season but so will Crockett. There is a reason the "hometown Hero" left people.

I know LCM is solid, plays good defense, has above average pitching and moves runners along well, but usually WOS is just as good in these areas. Is WOS down that much this year?

I know one of the finalist and he would do any outstanding job. Not only is he a great coach, he is a great leader. He has a plan that take PAM to the next level.

They already have two Sophomores (Juniors to be) that rushed for over 1,000 yards each. Crowded backfield and no QB is not a recipe for success.

Can he throw it? Or are they going to run the single wing? Have to be able to keep the defense honest.

Unless they have a Freshman that can sling it, this will be a very run heavy offense. They have two good, young backs returning, but from what I saw last year there is not a QB in the program that can throw with any accuracy or arm strength.

Yes, it is all about PRIORITIES. It is sad when COMMUNITIES don't support the future. Yes, taxes are high. Yes, raising taxes sucks. But its called making a small sacrifice for the greater good. Selfish adults, raise selfish children which leads to many of the problems we have in the country today. It is all about taking care of "ME" and the heck with everybody else.

They have to be able to at least bring in their Coordinators. That is a must.

The past 6 districts I have supported financially are all well ahead of Nederland in recently built schools. And I did not say anything about the quality of the education that students get in Nederland. That is definitely not my place and I do know that the Standardized Test scores in Nederland are very high. I am not a Nederland taxpayer, so you are right that my opinions mean absolutely zero. However, it is a slap in the face of the students, teachers and the community as a whole to have facilities that are as outdated as the ones in Nederland, just an opinion from an outsider. Just because something is still functional doesn't mean it's not outdated. I think the great students and teachers in Nederland deserve a reward for their achievements. Having high quality facilities should be the goal of every district.

That is completely unacceptable. How does a community let something like that go on for so long? Have yall past a bond in the last 50 years?

For an area that likes to pat itself on the back for how good they are at everything they do in Nederland, it is amazing that the community has let the school facilities deteriorate to this point. From what I have seen, they need new junior highs and a new High School for sure.

Hence why I think Flores is a good choice. He has proven he can do something positive, with very little talent.

Since 2005, two years after Chad Morris left, the best records Bay City has had are the 7-5 and 7-6 records that Lupe Flores has produced.
