  1. They all switched to the baseball forum. You missed the memo coach.
  2. Agreed. Shay is a great guy and great coach.
  3. Does Gary have time to even eat? I thought he was a machine?!?
  4. I don't think I'm going anywhere anytime soon, and I'm waiting for players like that again. Only a few like that these days.
  5. td I agree. I'm not sure I have EVER covered a player who plays with more intensity than Shon Landry. Great guy and player.
  6. Don't count him out yet. He will still try to play at some point this year and I got my money on Shon. He is a player.
  7. [Hidden Content] LC-M grad Landry makes mark at MSU Van Wade The Orange Leader LAKE CHARLES — Baseball fans at Little Cypress-Mauriceville would probably agree that just a handful of Bears had the true grit of former standout Shon Landry. Whether it was making a diving play at shortstop, belting a towering home run over the fence at Don Gibbens Field, or even motivating his teammates, Bear fans know they had a gem. Well Landry, The Orange Leader’s Baseball Player of the Year in 2004, carried that stout determination with him and has turned in a remarkable four-year stint at McNeese State University. Landry has been a starter all four seasons for the Cowboys. He put up outstanding numbers his first three years on campus. However, his senior year is the one he’ll remember the most. The shortstop has put together a .349 batting average, which is second among the team of starters. He leads the Cowboys with 58 hits and has five home runs and 33 runs batted in.
  8. Soulja you know I love ya but Yao is going to get beat up by Gasol and Bynum
  9. I say Lakers in 4, unless they get bored and Rockets win one in Houston. Sorry Rockets' fans
  10. I go through the lineup, one guy on each position and have four superlatives.
  11. I agree, these lists are so hard to do. My All Orange Leader team is tough this year. BC, OF, WO-S , LC-M, Vidor and Dville ALL were playoff caliber teams with 5 of the 6 making the playoffs. And the list of actual standout players in we cover are some of the best.
  12. Rockets on to second round!
  13. [Hidden Content] Jaques accepts offer to play two sports at Belhaven College Gabriel Pruett The Orange Leader BRIDGE CITY — The only doubt Becca Mathews has ever had in her head about Christina Jaques has always been if Jaques knew how good Jaques really is. Obviously Belhaven College in Jackson, Miss. noticed the potential Monday because Jaques is headed that way to play not only softball but volleyball as well. The Bridge City graduate and two-year star at Lamar State College-Port Arthur accepted a scholarship to play both sports at Belhaven late Wednesday night after trying out for the volleyball at the college on Monday. “I have no words for how excited I am for her,†Mathews said. “She never lost anything after being away from volleyball for two years. She is such an amazing athlete.†Mathews guaranteed Belhaven volleyball coach Lydia Smith she would come away impressed with Jaques and that her only weakness would be she needed to get back into a volleyball routine.
  14. Is the for baseball? No sir, track. Sorry I thought it was a track thread so I put it here first

  17. I did just eat a bunch of ham :o
  18. OK OK I'm worried already!
  19. Man I had to do a bunch of things I will never be proud of. It has taken me over a year to forget it but hey guys, thanks for bringing it all back up.
  20. I give my opinion because I can still have one even though I'm a moderator. If another moderator doesn't like my post, feel free to delete it and send me a warning too. I've been paid by a newspaper to have an opinion for about 10 years now so I like giving my opinion and I like being knowing I am the one who said it, thus the reason for putting my name as my name. #13 you're good cause 13 is my favorite number LOL
  21. I agree with KSA 100%. I am a sports guy through and through but a health epidemic goes way beyond sports. Even if one player in the state is saved because sports are haulted, I would give the UIL a medal for their decision.
  22. Would you rather miss the events or have a few dozen kids POSSIBLY get sick with this? It might sound extreme but health is more important than any result.
  23. I have played this 4 times already for Van
