So hows it shaping up? We know 24-2a is a jumble, probably go down to the wire. But how about 21, 22 and 23-2a. With the exception of Central Heights, who else looks likely to make the break??  ;D

Good, tight, game. Good pitching job by Hardin. Tough 1st inning for Warren, gave up 3 runs. After that some excellent defense by both teams, double plays, pick offs, ect..  Congrats to Hardin. Keep the heads up Warren.   

Close calls are part of the game. Bad calls, like an inconsistent strike zone, they too are part of High School  Baseball. The issue is the two calls by the field ump were not close calls and were so far past bad as to border on deliberate. ( Called out TWO steps AFTER first base? Hey, I saw the film...)

Closer game than the score says. Excellent job by the E/C pitcher. I believe his arm is just a little too young to go so high in the pitch count. But, will definately be one to recon with in the future. Three more Warriors!!!

Way to face adversity and stay focused. Congrats Warriors!! Good effort by Buna. A quality win requires a quality opponent, Buna certainly is that.  

The worth of a victory can only be judged by the quality of your opponent. Good luck to both teams in this most worthy contest. I know you will represent your school and your district well.

Oh, my!! Seems the banty roosters are out, crowing and goin'. This should be the premier match up of the season. plenty on the line. Two quality teams. Two teams with [b]lots of class[/b]. This game should mean alot to who ever wins, because there will be no doubt, they earned it. Good luck to everyone. Go Warriors!

Should be a good pitchers duel. But, Warren is just too deep, too solid. Theres a new sheriff in town...  ;D   

Good job Warriors!!  What happened to the lefty from Deweyville? I was looking forward to seeing him pitch.

Deweyville is on the ropes (2-4). A capable team that can surprise. The Warren (4-2) bats are really starting to heat up, coming off a 9-0 route of Kountze. You can never overlook Deweyville, but I give the edge to Warren. 

Should be a hard fought game. Buna (4-2) coming off a big win against Anhuac, travelling to Hardin, who (3-3) lost the last two games in extra innings. Should be a very exciting game to watch. Good luck to all.

I quess offense does win games. Four hits, three walks in the first inning. A patient disciplined hitting team is a pitchers nightmare. Make him bring it, then hit it. 

If the Kountze pitcher can work quick, few pitches per inning, kountze could win a close one. But, if Warren repeatedly takes the count full, Kountze will be in trouble...Offense wins games, pitching just keeps it close. 

Maybe it was an off night for the Hardin lefty when I saw him. But, from what I've seen, the Buna kid had more movement with better control and comparable velocity.

It was a well played, well pitched game on both sides. The difference was Warren relief pitching, Warren bats, and Hardin base running mistakes. Solid win by Warren over a credible team.

Everybody....went through at least 4 pitchers.

Good game, VERY evenly matched teams..Buna pitching was the difference. No slight to the Warren pitcher, Buna just pitched better this night. Buna does need to work on base running tough, 1 for 6 (I think) on steals. Outstanding job by the Warren catcher.

Well, these rankings start to get shake up tommorrow night....Let the race for district begin!!!

Tight district. Buna is traditionally good but, I would bet the field on this one. Nothing against Buna, just playing the odds.[hr]
