1. I am with UNLV.  I want to see chairs in the air.  Bobby style!!!!
2. [Hidden Content] IF you want to go vote for LU Also, does anyone know if we have stadium expansion plans if we move up
3. I do think one thing that could be playing in our favor is that we already have a media contract locally.  Also we are close enough to houston that the SBC can claim they got a Houston market team.  Whether that is BS or not I think the SBC would claim us as a Houston team.
4. Seriously, do you really know someone or are you just screwing with everyone.  We have had people come on the board with supposed knowledge and nothing happened.
5. [Hidden Content] Benson says we will know in two weeks.  UNLV might have the last laugh on all of this. I think they might go to twelve right away.
6. Does anyone have a LU contact to see if we have been in the conversation
7. I tweeted jack and apparently we are 4th on the list.  but it is hearsay.
8. Unlv miGht be right. Been reading interesting chatter on the sunbelt board
9. That is probably about right for this year, but I think we have the potential to finish higher with Pat Knight as coach.
10.

The "Houston Market" argument has a little to do with the fact that we have a satellite campus in The Woodlands and have a agreement with Lone Star College which is throughout Houston to accept there coursework.  Due to SH recent success we also have(although very brief) programming spots on two Houston Sports radio programs.  I personally dont think either school is ready for FBS.  Lamar from a competitive standpoint and SH from a facilities standpoint, so I can see why there is some resistance to eithe program.
Don't drag Lamar down with Sam. If Sam ain't ready, then too bad. Lamar needs to get back to where it was before bad leadership.Even if we were winning at the FCS level, joining FBS will have us losing for a few season anyways.Maybe if we move up, we can hire your coach....LOL.
Hiring our coach would be the best football decision your(or I guess I should say their since you arent really a cardinal) AD ever made.  Lets face it Woodard is NOT the answer to take the Cards to the next level.  Thats not "dragging" LU down thats a fact.
Boy aint that the truth KingKat!!!
11. I am surprised you are not on the SBC board UNLV.  I have to agree with you.  It is amazing the untruths people tell about LU on that board.  Not sure where all the hate comes from.
12. One of the posters said that LU left on bad terms from the SBC, I wonder if there is truth to that.
13. From Jack: What's up, Cards? Here's what I know.  The Sun Belt league office is going to publicly deny contact with LU (or SHSU, for that matter).  Your people don't say shit even if their mouths are full.  One day I am going to get around to showing everyone why people do things this way - there's certainly a excellent reason for this - but that's for a boring time in the offseason. I think that there might be an answer developing - did Burnett and the SLC have to go to 10 (future 12)/14, and add west Texas and Oklahoma to his compact league?  Adding 5 when you lost 3 might be a way of showing that 2 more are leaving.  Or not.  But it deserves some notice that we all know that someone at LU and Benson have each others cell numbers.  This is just my speculation.  I have my own source in Knoxville, by a stroke of luck.  He's into the area prep scene and has written a story about Stuart, and knows the author of the other one well.  I have contacted him to see what he can find up there.  Here's his article: [Hidden Content] Finally, I'm not really into recruiting.  I think it's creepy to text teenage boys about where they want to go to college.  However, I spent enough time with Brent and Fletcher to learn that kids will say anything.  A conversation about hoping to be in the Sun Belt in four-five years so his parents can see him play in Murfreesboro would have relevance, and the young man wants to study chemical engineering.  Aren't y'all top three in that? Edited to Add: This isn't a mistake a writer at the level of Smithey would make and Stuart is a kid that should be playing at a BCS school.
14. I bet it ends up being pretty good.  SHSU traveled well last time and we know the home crowd will be good.  I think somewhere between 14 and 16.
15. Jack ‏@WACJack @jdcurran235 SB denies any contact w LU since July
16. Not really sure where the hatred comes from.  They seem to think SHSU is somehow a top option for the SBC even though all the facts point the other way.  And a FBS study told them not to go.  I think it is left over resentment from when we left.
