1. The rumor is Greg Lassen according to threads on BRI. But we will see.
2. I think he gets to retire when he wants to retire. He is a legend in baseball and we need to treat him as such. The Gilligan era will be over soon enough and it will be hard to replace a legend.
3. [Hidden Content] Idaho AD talks about WAC expansion
4.
All three schools (Sam, TSU, and Lamar) are members of the Texas State University System. They get pretty equal funding. And even though each has their own academic strong suits. They are overall about even.
That is exactly what I have been trying to say.  There is a reason we are peer institutions!!!
5. We coudl actually pull off the upset at McNeese.  If we wouldn't have lost all those games in a row we would be in the tournament for sure.  Also we have played very well at the end of the season.  We are kind of on an up swing.  I just dont know if it is to little to late.
6. LU can still make the Tournament.  They have a must win next week.
7. What is this LU team and where have they been all season
8. As far as academics go, noone really has a leg up on the other.  All are pretty equivalent.  The schools that truly have a leg up are UT and Rice.
9. Lamar is still claiming no contact.  www.bigredinsider.com
10. oooh I got one.  I heard that LU is getting invited to the big 12 to be conference rivals with Texas Tech.  They like the way we beat them in MBB. (just not this year). My is any random tortilla tosser at TTech.
11. I hate to say it but winning the SLC is not a prize this year.  Noone is good in SLC play.  And that speaks even worse for LU.
12. Yet with the few losses we have we are still only 86 on the RPI and noone from the SLC will get an at large bid
13. I understand that fact, but when winning percentage matters so little that conferences send 12 teams to the big dance and some with only .500 seasons, there is something wrong with the calculation or system IMO.  Even if the lady cards don't win the tournament they should get an at large bid.  same thing happened to SHSU a few years ago where they even knocked off a ranked apponent early in the season and had 20+ wins yet did not go to the big dance and had to settle for an NIT invite because they had a loss in the tournament.  Something needs to change on how they invite teams.  I have no problem with 6 teams from one conference making it in but when teams are barely over .500 and making it into the tournament because they are from a certain conference, there is a problem.
14. I hate the fact that we have over 20 wins and we are still only 86 on the RPI.  The fact that only 25% of your wins count towards the RPI is 75% of the problem.  Hopefully moving to the WAC will fix all of that.
15. thanks CA for clarifying.  Some people are just a little slow
