1. Now that the season is over, when will the 1st and 2nd team all-district awards or honors be voted for?
2.
So if I read this rite,  Lumberton missed two pks.  Is this true.  And how far was the Silsbee free kick that your saying is 60 yards.  That would be quite the free kick.
The ball was placed about 3 feet in front of the mid pitch line which is the 50 yard line in football. the goal is at the back of the endzone, which is 10 yards long. so 60 was a guestimation. it was a really far kick no matter what the factual number of yards it was.
3. Silsbee gave it hell. the ref was the same guy that officiated the game last year when Silsbee got into the fight. He called the game tight and the fact that the game was played one ref short didn't help matters. Im not saying that the officiating caused Silsbee to lose this game, but it sure didn't help them. Lumberton had 4 pks and silsbee was granted 1. Lumberton scored 2 goals off pks. Silsbee got one. Another of  lumberton's goals was scored off of a cross from the edge of the box to Lumberton's middle midfielder who headed it in. and another of Lumberton's goals was a freekick from straight on at the 18. Silsbee's other goal was about a 60 yard freekick. these goals were presented in no particular order.
4. All of the Silsbee girls soccer squad that was serious about soccer graduated last year or opted to play other sports this year. An injury got one of the players and 3-4 went on a field trip with another school organization....  :-[
5. Silsbee's Stephen Tanton has 9 goals
6. Kade Smith - Silsbee. very athletic. its his first year in goal, and he already looks like he has what it takes to go to the next level.
7. Coach Durant is a very good soccer coach. He is approaching this soccer season with a different mindset it would seem. The change in approach has led Silsbee to a good record. Sounds like he is in the lead for the Coach of the Year award..
8. I'd like to point out that Stephen Tanton was lost in the fighting incident last year coach stockmalone. Since back he has 7 goals and 2 assists through 5 games.. not much of a difference maker??? He also drops back and plays a bit of defense wit haround 20 minutes left in the game. Maybe not the best player on the team, but a major contributor to what this team has going for it.
9. Not only that but Silsbee has beaten HJ, BC (2x), HF, and a very determined Jasper. This team is a contender for a playoff spot. Watch out Lumberton, Livingston, and Liberty!!
10. I like to know who the biggest threat on each team is, and this is a good way to find out. I think i heard Granato had 6 goals in the tournament, but i'm not sure how many he has tacked on past that. Please post each teams leading scorer and leading assit(er?). Silsbee's leading scorer is Stephen Tanton with 7 goals. and leading in the assists category is Ben Robinson with 6.
11. Silsbee 2 Jasper 1. Great game, all goals in the last 5 minutes. Silsbee scored off a freekick to the back post with 5:00 left. Jasper scored off a long throw-in/volley with 3:00. Silsbee scored off a corner/header with 1:00 left. EPIC!
12. Does anybody know the leading scorers from the teams and how many goals they have on the season, as of now?
