1. do not post then unless you want to plug your own kid of course  ::) ;)
 2. They have a ton of returning seniors (more than just 4 ;) ) so they're looking like they're good!!  Deep in pitching, solid on defense and hitting?? Well lets just hope they're outta that slump?! Lets play ball and good luck to ALL the teams!!
 3. Duplant would have been a bonus but he isn't NEEDED for a successful season.  Trust us...Nederland baseball is going to be JUST FINE. For all those counting out the dogs?? Watch!
 4. It's unfortunate that the PNG baseball program is taking such a beating right now. I think Coach Brevell is doing a great job with what he is having to handle right now. Only so much can be done! PNG is losing momentum and they're losing it quickly!
 5. I was told this was a good game. The freshman pitcher from PNG just got gassed is what I heard. Heard PNG should have subbed a little sooner? This Nederland JV is solid though and heard Sanderson did a great job of pitching! If that previous post is correct and he had 12 strikeouts in 6 innings?! That is a beautiful average. Seems that PNG just couldn't seem to get it going. No doubt these teams will be interesting to watch in the next several years.
 6. Nederland JV 13 Lumberton JV 10 Nevula winning pitcher. Kid had a shut out and coach removed him?!?!?! This was the most pathetically coached game I've ever witnessed. I think I've heard it all now that I've witnessed JV players having to tell their coach when a substitiion has to happen?!?! The Nederland coach removed Nevula after gaining a 12-0 lead (?), put in sam smith (4th inning) who allowed 3 runs, reentered nevula to shut down inning.  Took nevula out again after the 4th innin and entered sampere who allowed 4-6 runs. He then motioned to the coach that he was done and then the catcher had to tell the coach sampere was done. Coach put in sanderson (called in by catcher) and Nederland barely squeaked by with the win.
 7. heard robbins didn't think nevala could handle png  ???  ??? but he had the win and then the coach took him out!! Bad move on Nederlands part.. Nevala looked real strong and PNG is lucky they took him out!!!
 8. Nederland JV - 10 Vidor JV - 0 Sanderson pitched all 5 for the  win!!
 9. He's not going to leave with the talent that is coming up in these next couple of years....i bet he stays for about 5 more years!!!
 10. I want to know how the HECK that super gets to stay here?!! I haven't seen such criminal activity gotten away with since the Clinton administration!!!
 11.
As schools find money getting tighter I think you will see what some districts do as some districts in other states are are doing.  That is pay to play.  Here is just one article I found on this. [Hidden Content] I have some friends in Illinois that had to pay $150.00 a year for their boys to play football and $100.00 a year for them to play baseball and that was several years ago.
I personally think this might be a good idea. We pay for most of our kids equipment as a lot of it isn't provided anyways. This might take away the ones that are only there to waste time and get an easy "A" on the report card. The Southern school districts can learn A LOT from the Northern districts. There's a reason a lot of them have higher rankings!!!  I would rather pay for a coach that would promote his players to the next level then to have one that is there for whatever extra piddly money they're collecting. Those coaches are teaching our kids squat!!!

Wilson and meet 8-10 other kids and play a pick up game of baseball. I also recall my dad taking a glove and bat and we would go for an after noon of playing catch, taking some grounders and practicing catching some deep fly balls. I did that with my dad until I graduated from high school. Never once did I think it was uncool. We need to spend as much time as we can with our kids in the backyard or at a park because one day they will wake up and think it is uncool to be out playing catch, etc. Kind of like the old song goes: Son: Hey dad, want to go outside and play some catch? Dad: Not now son, got bills to pay and work to do. We will do it again sometime soon. 8 years later Dad: Hey son, want to go outside and play some ball? Son: Not now dad. I need $40 and the car keys to take my girl to the movies. We will do it again soon..we will have a good time then.
I agree 100%.  We weren't allowed in the house until the street lights came on, now you can't get the kids outside.  I can't remember the last time I have seen a pick up baseball game or kids playing catch in the neighborhood. The only practice kids do is in the cage.  Defense just isn't as important anymore, unless your team plans on making the trip to Austin and playing for the state title.  ;) [b] Hitting will get you noticed, but pitching and defense win championships.[b]
I couldn't agree more!!
 13.
I think it comes down to passion for the game and wanting to "know" the entire craft.  Too many times i see guys wait for the ball instead of attacking and playing the routine ground ball rather than letting it play them.  Dont worry about making it look good just make the play.
A lot of coaches don't care if a kid has passion for a game and don't even realize that they've got some boys out there that know more about the mental game than the coaches do!  Some of these boys practice very hard in their off season time only to go backwards during the high school season. I know of several boys that go above and beyong during "off season" for the love and passion of the game. If only coaches would capitalize on THAT attitude I think we would see some state titles in the area!!

Lets see it.
You fixed your mistake...i didn't leave near as bad an insult as your simple over view. It's all good.... I would agree with your list with the adding of NHS  ;) That they were omitted is what I thought was ridiculous!!
