  1. Well, you're good at what you practice. Generally, your run based offenses like Wing -T, slot T, or anything like that, you're mainly going to practice running so the QB will be good at other things like play faking, running, blocking. You just don't have many opportunities to practice passing unless you have an exceptional group that comes through. Teams like Orangefield, Vidor, Bridge City, they'll run, run run, until you stop it. They're ok with not passing. But to get to the next level like Pleasant Grove, you have to be consistant passing too...
  2. THIS....
  3. An experienced coach...
  4. 1 positive. #21 for Memorial can shoot that rock. Should've ran more high screens so she can get open. Lady Panthers was just too tall in the middle. Many offensive rebounds and putbacks...
  5. This very well may be true..
  6. Pleasant Grove ran the ball well on them as well as the last team that beat them, Richmond Foster...
  7. Very true...
  8. Well, my source in the district said so, and I believe St. Pius confirmed it. Pay raise? Nothing concrete on that...
  9. I think Lee had a first year coach last year, if I'm not mistaken. I also believe they will be returning a LOT of experienced kids next year as I believe they were mostly young.
  10. I heard... But we're ok. Well be hiring a coach soon and we plan on doing spring ball, so we'll have time to get things in line before facing them...
  11. Sure they did. Collins did good with his feet. Also, WO-S didn't get a full dose of the young guns either. It was before they were given the green light on Offense...
  12. True. When I seen the backup QB get in, he looked nice. Saw Foster play for years and seen video of him this year. He needs to put in more work and get faster, but I know the people that's surrounding him will work hard with him this off season, then we'll see what happens after that.
  13. I doubt it. Yalls focal point is offense... That's the case every season.
  14. The backup was Johnson #3 i believe. He was a sophmore or Jr. The Lefthand kid from JV I'm talking about is R. Foster.
  15. I'm thinking the backup QB from this last season or the southpaw JV QB...
  16. Hahahaha... Nice rebuttal.
  17. And went with a running clock most of the second half.
  18. I was having a conversation with many fans about if the hire happens to be 'in house', who'd be the best for the job. Not a knock on my fellow Jag alum, Coach Paul, buuuuuut.... Mike T gets the nod from me...
  19. Lol. I do see 1 for sure win here. *wink*
  20. I completely agree...
  21. 1. Huffman-Hargrave 2. L-Train 3. Livingston 4. Little Cypress- Mauriceville 5. Bridge City 6. Splendora
  22. From what I'm told, it's Week 1 - St. Pius Week 2 - Nederland Week 3 - PA Memorial Week 4 - Week 11 - District
  23. St. Pius is already a done deal from what I was told..
  24. Good post. I understand your point too..
