The Highschool game is a guards game... Everyone knows that!!! : Every year its the teams with the best guards that win.... So reguardless of the freak in the middle you have to be able to get the ball up court and into the offense and pressure the ball down court to eliminate lanes and opennings to the basket. And Soulja.. one and done doesn't build a program... Take the talent and teach them to be great... take the early bumps and scratches and have a well developed player by their senior year. If Tremain is one and done then you can't BUILD a team around him... The post said BUILD a NEW team with a NEW coach! Soulja... You my dude but I agree to Disagree on this one! ;D The underclassmen will be modivated by Thomas and will play to his level. It wont' be hard, because Boutte will be coaching them. We had this talk during football about Central being bad. You go from being a runner up in district to being scrubs. That team had senior that shoud have been having some underclassmen 'under their wing'. How do you think these winning programs keep winning? Believe me, it's not 'all' athletic ability.

Great point. It does start in the paint. But don't you think that's a little biased since your an Ozen fan and all? And I also think that it doesn't take a lot of coaching to teach a big man to control the middle. Jefferson relies more on his athletic ability. Not much coaching needed here.

I picked Thomas because this is a perfect roll model for the Underclassmen to look up to. If you start with him, you cant go wrong. Just because you have him for 1 year, doesn't mean that your next season won't be a successful one.

Bulldogs better use that homecourt to the fullest and play their best game of the season, or the Panthers will run them right out the gym.

Yea, but we beat Vidor in the first matchup. I understand that Vidor has gotten better, but so have we. Same results, but Jags will win by a larger margin.

Yes he did. His athletisism allows him to play much bigger than his size. He was making tough fall aways as well as finishing at the rim.

This game was over before it began. when we went up big, we put the bench in. Gulley got 14 and realy was in and out the game. We had good contributions from every player. Overall good game. Still have to get a lot betther, though. Friday, Vidor will be a good test on where we stand at their house.

Coach Boutte and Tramain Thomas. Best coach in the area with the most coachable talent around.

when I say all of a sudden, I meant that they have reached that next level that Ozen always have been known to be on. Last years team reached this level right at playoff time. I agree that we will be dangerous and we will get better. I just hope it comes soon or atleast before we tangle with you guys again.

I wish I would have seen him at Odem. Only caught him at Ozen. He appeared to be a man among boys in HS. Bigger than everybody else. IMO, Keena Young was more polished that Perk. Perk had the size, therefore jumped to the NBA. Don't look at this as a Perk diss because it's not. But this is how I feel.

Not a hater at all. All I saw from him at Ozen was dunks and the sweeping hook shot that wasnt' perfected. He has more fundimentals now than before. Hey like him in boston. He's a beast. That's what important now.

My comments didn't change. I'm just noticing how Ozen all of a sudden got better and are playing on another level as of lately. The have my respect and I actually picked them to beat us the first time. If we dont' start 'hitting our stride' soon, we won't beat Ozen the second time.

Maybe it was the coaches in Boston, because he finished with the two handed dunk at Ozen. He was always a beast on defense though and I see that carried over to the NBA.

I dont' have the exact percentages. I'll try to get them for my Jags. I know that we have a guard that I have seen him miss only 1 free throw.
