1. Lumberton doesn't need a new head coach, it needs better talent.
 2. heard that FW has not been playing their #1 QB Hayden Gardner, anyone know why?
 3.
I am picking GCM in this one because they do have a lot of returning starters. They also play hard each night.  A lot of people pick LCM just because they are a local name.  Fact is they are a slightly improved Orangefield.
goose creek graduated an entire d line save a returning junior, everybody but one DB, a LB is returning, and pretty sure the o line is gone as well. correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not alot of returnees. they do bring back a good HB, and QB as well as TE. all solid players. and as for LCM being an improved orangefield; really? let's see how they fare against district rivals WOS and Silsbee compared to LCM. you can't even make that comparison.

 6. thank you Scalp'em, i agree Gonzales will be hard to move on from, he will never be replaced. He's a phenomenal football player. I'm just breaking my team down to what it is

Ozen 7. Nederland 8. Lumberton huge battle between 3-7, but this district is wide open. anybody can win on any given night. all teams lost a lot of players with the exception of livingston. lcm returns a lot of offense, vidor returns a lot of defense. that's my opinion.
Who?  LCM looses 90% of it's offense with Gonzo and Sonnier! I think the top three are correct, but Nederland will be #4 in that mix. Not necessarily 4th, but top 4. Ozen has talent, but they always do!!! Vidor is back to being Vidor as is Lumberton (notice how quiet it has been the past few years from up north!  ::) ).  And as I stated before the Bears are loosing it's 1-2 punch! If I had to rank 'em today. 1. Livingston (Can win the district, but will struggle to win in the playoffs due to the system) 2. Central (Mitchell takes the next step) 3. PNG (New signal caller, but great weapons at his disposal and this coming Senior group won a lot coming up through the ranks) 4. Nederland (Young QB got his feet wet last year and they had a lot of Soph's step up last year...Good 2013 class means a year away from a DC) 5. Ozen (Talent alone gets 'em close) 6. LCM (Crouch gets 'em close) 7. Vidor (Mathews gets 'em close...to the bottom) 8. Lumberton (Got some good youth programs, but a few years away) I don't see a standout in this district that will compete for a State Title.
LCM returns the whole line minus right tackle which is easily replaced, two running backs in Sezar and Douglas. Sezar will be a monster. Receivers in Jordan Harmon and four year starter Preston Armstrong, along with Burleigh and Wright. Some current sophomores will step it up in the receiver spot as well, all that remains is quarterback and with a surrounding cast like that he'll do fine. As for defense, it's open for anyone.

 9.
The only 4A example everyone is bringing up is LT!!!! The majority of the other 4A schools would struggle with the 5A mega schools.  Texas football now is all about the subburbs.  The inner city dominance is gone from now on! The 5A suburbs will dominate football around Texas for a long time!!
uhh, brenham, friendswood, aledo, mesquite poteet...........just to name a few
 10. FW almost(and probably should have) lost to 3A West Orange Stark........................LT in this one boys :)

He is an amazing coach, and a great leader. Look at what he's done in two years to a program that was CRAP two years ago. Hat's off to him, I'm glad he won it. And if you disagree, you don't know much about football.
Nobody's whining. We simply think that Neuman from Nederland or Faircloth should've got it due to thier seasons. Crouch turned LCM around, but failed to make the playoffs again. Neuman took an injury plagued team and made them into a playoff team. Faircloth took a team that was 1-4 and 0-2 in district to the third round of the playoffs. Those two examples have to be considered. Congrats to all of the kids. BTW, I think Sonnier should've been MVP of the district. He was the main reason Nederland had a week 11.
It's a good arguement. All good coaches, and good teams.

 13. Lake Travis is gonna kill them. I've played against them in 7on7, they're well coached and know how to win.
 14. i played lake travis this past summer on lcm's 7on7 team. for those of you who don't know, they ended our run for the championship. i'm glad they lost!
 15. i'm from lcm, just causing some trouble on setx. lol, all power to nederland, i'm sure they'll do great this year.
::) ::) I think they may have felt like 'beating themselves' upside the head after Central beat them...   ;D ;D
nah, i'm sure they just moved on and haven't thought about them since.
