1. Thanks for the help. Hope all who are intending will have fun. I know i will!
 2. I dont know if many of you went to the games last year, but if you did do you mind telling me(or message me) the prices of the games. Very much appreciated. Thanks
 3.
I kept hearing all year how GCM had two good pitchers, #1A and #1B. Neither one of them can throw 78?
It is cause 19-4a doesnt know how to hit a curveball. Every team had trouble with them so that is why Martinez did a great job.
 4. The school is to the right of the entrance. You have to walk past their soccer field to get to the baseball park. If you have a chance check out the new batting cage facility. Heck of a complex

Hope the DOGS catch a couple off the net ;)
 6. I think their starters just need a little bit of practice. When we get into the later innings we put up numbers just we are so far behind like last night.
 7. No way. They arent having that bad of a start compared to past years. And even though they are young they can produce some numbers in streaks. gonna be an exciting year

I've watched the video posted on here and the one on KDFM. How is that an error on the 3rd baseman? The bases were loaded? Correct? It appeared to me that the catcher missed the throw and was trying to apply a swipe tag. It is simply remarkable how people's perspective can be skewed depending on which player they are pulling for. (notice i said player not team because IMO The Hill has yet to grasp the team concept and i do believe Coach Denny would second that motion) Perfectly demonstrated by a BH person, WHATHAPPENED, getting on and bashing the BH catcher. Who i think most folks would agree is one one the top defensive catchers around and a SOPH.  Fact is BH didnt make the plays in the last inning to close it out. MISSED OPPORTUNITIES. Congrats to the Dogs.
I could not agree with you more LUKE38, your post is right on. whathappened has to much time on his hands, bh students need to be utilizing their laptops for something besides this fourm.
what a minute, your students have LAPTOPS?
And apparently wireless internet connections.
Dont forget smart phones? ;D
The catcher pulls down his glove to get the tag on the force runner. and no the ball was right above his head. tipped off the top of the glove. I was making a point that the catcher enjoys tagging runners for whatever reason and it just hurt him on that play. I never bashed the catcher? he had a great year... idk how people see my point of him tagging a runner in stead of just catching the ball and standing on home plate is bashing the catcher. they shouldnt have even been in that situation. If you were at the game you would know what i mean.

Luke.......
Thanks..could not have scripted the last inning of game 3 any better. It made for a great highlight video but I would prefer not to have our backs against the wall like that next series. Hope we can take the first 2.
Ya. NED squeaked by the young Eagle team. I highly doubt Magnolia will give you another series. They are a well developed team with deep pitching. If i see swings like this series its gonna be a quick 1 2 for Magnolia.
Nederland is also a well developed team with deep pitching. I guarantee you coach Robbins will have them clicking on all cylinders by Thursday.
They need to be. I hope they can face the bears next series but NED needs their top 2 pitchers. without them they arent going any further.

 13. Don't forget candy made double play to start the whole inning... Right over SS glove. Mistakes were made that inning and that is why Ned scored those three runs. Good game by Kyle leggett. Came out clutch and threw excellent all game. Hats off to the eagles for a good playoff run and like ForeverADog said outplayed them all three games.

Plus offspeed. That is why they lost to Vidor the one game. They threw their offspeed lefty...(idk the name) and shut them down. same concept. Grayhole and Eagles close it out tonight!
probably can't remember his name because no left handed pitcher pitched for vidor when they beat nederland. armstrong, foshee, and maxwell were the only kids that pitched for vidor in that game. also, i wouldn't say they shut them down...the score was 7-5. it looks like maybe you haven't kept up with nederland all season. i believe it had more to do with the kids being a little down when they realized their top two pitchers all season might not get to pitch in the playoffs. i predict they do much better in the next game offensively. one thing i did find in common with both games were the errors committed by nederland....that's not likely to happen again.
No i havent. i thought Vidors ace through against nederland the second game. sorry for false information. And it is playoff time. They have to focus in and play the game. Whatever BH coach saw did a great job. Enough to hold Ned power house to 2 hits. errors or not Ned still lost the game without them. they had 2 unearned runs. 3-2 final without errors.

 16.
Really? I wonder how many times that kid has been asked to bunt this year? It was the 4th or 5th ining of a 7 inning game.....Not a 9 inning game. They dodged a bullet with the first foul ball that BH couldnt get to, but then to call it again and have a pop up? No, sorry, that doesnt work. Down by 1or 2 late in a game, yes. Down by 5 late in a game, nope.
They were down by 4. High school hitters practice on bunting every day. I guarantee it. Everyone needs to know how to bunt cause just like your saying coach can call it at ANY time in the game. The way Ned sticks were going coach was begging for runs... so having one runner in scoring position is a big difference than having two. Esp with only 2 hits the whole game.

I have to assume you dont win a tough district by allowing 3 infield singles on routine ground balls. You are also correct in that Ned did not get the hits when they needed them. The whole point of the original post was, if Ned pitches their #1 or #2, BH doesnt put as many balls in play, the Ned infield doesnt have to make the plays it could not make.............And yes, all you Lamar lovers, that turf is SLOW. It is true, but it is slow.
Then why didnt the coach throw them? BH threw there #3 #5 then #4(IMO).... they got the job done. Good job pitching and Good job Eagles. Bring it home!
Medical issues on both......Not their fault and their health is much more important than a baseball score.
Than as a fan you cant put that on a coaches shoulders... good decision by the coach. Dont think the coach had any part of it. I dont think they were released to play, well Smith played, but could not pitch. Now one thing you can put on the coach is trying to play small ball when you are down by 5 runs in the 4th with 2 on and the middle of your line up batting. That made no sence at all.

You have to get 1 run before you can get five. Especially that early in the game. fourth inning is when you want to start chipping away at the lead. Makes SENSE now?

 20. Check other bh Ned thread. My first comment was that the turf will effect the Ned defense cause they have a slow infield at home. Bh infield is already fast so it wasn't much of a difference. Bh had 8 hits Ned had 2 summary of the game
 21.
Didn't really matter if Smith or Duplant pitched, Dogs just didn't hit the ball. It's a series, Dogs will have to score runs tomorrow to get to Saturday. I look for Barbers Hill to save their No.1 till Saturday if needed.
why not throw your number one on his own mound that he practices on everyday. BH closes series out tomorow if smith still isn't throwing. His throw from third to first wasn't pretty... Let's go eagles! Playoff time
 22. IMO 1. Thames P 2. Newcomb SS 3. King DH(Pearson CF) 4. Bonnin 1B 5. Thompson RF 6. Beasley C 7. Stover LF 8. Leggett 3B 9. Santana 2B You never know with the line ups thrown out by BH coach. hasnt been still yet this year. Players make the line ups which is good
 23.
Thought Thames was injured?
Sprained rotate cup two weeks ago. he is released and ready to play.
