1.
Never thought I'd post on the volleyball page, but see that the score is not posted yet.  The mighty Lady Eagles of BH defeated the Lady Cougars of Crosby in 5 games, creating a tie for first place in 19-4A.  BH was down 0-2 and  was looking pretty weak, but came back strong to sweep the next 3 to take the win.  Nice job.
Great match!  I thought after the match that BH had played up to their potential in the final three games.  Hope they remember what they were doing right when the playoffs get here.  Hats off to Crosby who doesn't appear to have a player over 5' 9", and yet plays every point tough.  I hope these two teams play for the one seed in the playoffs.  Can't wait to see the tie breaker. Go eagles!
2. Oh, almost forgot to tell everyone...  I was walking down Hollywood Blvd. looked down and saw a star that said... you know.....  "The Hill is for real!"  Even the west coast knows!  The Hollywood Hills knows.. The real Hill is in Southeast Texas!
3.
Where is Ole' hasbeen33, we need his help defining how real the Hill is...?
Man!  Can't believe it!  Went to California for three days to watch my daughter play an insignificant sport, and the Dayton boys put on six more pages!  I almost missed page 54!  There is no way it stops on 54... nobody in East Texas has that kind of discipline!  Lot's of other people got real over the weekend... UT, Wisconsin, maybe even the Texans..?  The cowboys are still for real ---- losers.  Did that insult anybody?  here is a new diversion topic...  Has anybody from 19-4A (current schools) ever played for the cowboys?  I played football with a former cowboy and I know one current player is from Northshore.  Did a quarterback from Baytown Lee play for the cowboys?  Stoerner?
4. Be very careful Bronco fans... I'm hearing rumors that BHISD is trying to annex Northshore, and play Dayton just one more year before re-alignment to 5A.
5.
ok maybe I can settle this.  ;) My son graduated from Barbers Hill, I did not.....but I guess that makes me somewhat of an Eagle from Barbers Hill.....but isn't Barbers Hill the place where Southern Plantation is actually North of Plantation.  ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
Go figure!???  Maybe the developer was from Dayton?
6. Ten pages more....  It might last longer than both Dayton and BH in the playoffs.  Did anybody notice that Santa Fe (who throttled BH early) is 0-3 in district play? Good post Eagle82, too bad the hard-core bashers couldn't end it on that one....
7. Weak!  Very weak!  The thread is dying.... let it go....
8. Has either one ever won a state championship in anything?  Not being rude... just curious.
9.
I think this thread should keep going until the Eagles score 54 points in their first basketball game. Then EVERYONE will know for sure that.... THE HILL IS FOR REAL!!!
How will we know that they have scored 54 points?  Nobody will be there because the sport doesn't matter...
10. Best answer so far... good one.  "If your not for real, you are from Dayton."  I think I tricked you into that answer. LOL. Who cares if we are practicing b-ball?  It's not a real sport anyway...
11. Who is it?  I know GCM wants to be rivals with BH, but it's really not there....
12. Sorry for the delay, I had to make a quick trip to the pharmacy for some more meds... It's 3:00 pm and I'm still waiting for the answer... Please hurry because I never work a full day and I don't get on the internet while I'm at home asleep on my easy chair. BTW, Tyrone I would have picked Dayton all the way in their duel with BH.  I'm not sure you can call Dayton/BH a rivalry.??  The contest each year has to be much closer in score.  I don't know if the players, coaches, or parents trash talked Dayton before the game or not... but they should have.  Nobody wins a game that they aren't confident in winning.  Guaranty next year they will be tight lipped before the re-match. I'm starting a new thread so everyone will give up on this one....  What is the best rivalry in 19-4A?
13. Well, everybody woke up grumpy from their afternoon nap...  Question restated... "what are you if not for real?" Simple question.  Waiting for the simple answer???
14. The cowardly knight.... answer the question.
15. It is 1:15 pm, and anybody who straps on the helmet on Friday night is for real in my book.  98% of these boys only have 4-5 more weeks left to play the game, and that is for real!!!  To finish out the year we will play all the other insignificant sports. If you can't answer the question do not post on this thread... that is the only thing left that hasn't been answered. "Thread killer"!!!!
16. Where are you Dayton?  Must be down at that killer Mexican food place in town... drinkin' margaritas and beer, gloating over the latest beat down on friday night...?  Hey, maybe I'm a "thread killer"?  Does anybody know how to change your user name?  Thread killer... I like it! Wait a minute... I just felt a breeze... must be all those pages in the dictionary getting flipped???
17.
Okay, you guys are starting to get boring...  let's give this thread a boost... after all there are a lot of pages left to go....  If the Hill is for real, what are you if your not for "real"?  Get your dictionary out and go to work!  Hoping somebody from Dayton says something equally as stupid with this one to match the original post. Also, wouldn't it be appropriate to end this post after 54 pages..???  I bet Dayton/BH are not mature enough to stop on 54!  Prove me wrong!
Waiting.... Skeered?  BH is having an identity crisis.... if not for real, then....?

19. Getting in on this one late, but I couldn't help myself to make a comment.  I grew up there...played Junior High football there, and still have friends there I talk football with every year.  They don't recruit players, however, they do re-build from one generation to the next.  If you go back 20-30 years you will notice many of the same last names keep popping up.  Guys I played with now have sons playing, and pretty sure 15 years from now their sons will be entering high school and continuing the tradition.  They won a state championship back in the '60s in 2A (which was the old 3A class size).  I am a '83 graduate that was an 8th grader and had to scrimmage the '84 class (the "shutdown" season group).  I remember us 8th graders saying how good those 7th graders were after putting a mild spanking on them.  Sure enough we were right... nobody scored a touchdown on them their senior year.  They capped that 1983 State Championship run with 44-0 spanking of Sweeny.  I got to see a quarter final game against Post and their running back broke around the left end and it looked as if he would score...  there was a collective gasp in the stands because nobody wanted to give up a touchdown that season.  I was a Freshman at SFA that year a went to the game with some old D'field buds.  Coach Dennis Alexander started a tradition of sorts there when I lived there, and it was known as "Tiger Pride".  For me personally, it meant a lot.  I tell people all the time that I learned to be a winner there.  Unfortunately my family moved to Houston for my high school years and I became a Northshore Mustang.  I don't know if they will beat Newton, but the Newton boys ought to sleep with one eye open that week, because I know what those Tigers are thinking on that bus ride to the game.
