I knew that one; Lamar also signed a few '06 grads from Lumberton, PNG, and Ned. I kind of wish I'd be around to watch a bit of their inaugural season. Best of luck to them.

I'm not going to lie: I don't exactly follow high school tennis. However, I always hear good stuff about Jorge Lopez from Nederland. He was a good soccer coach, too, but I don't know when he last coached soccer.

I was rooting for them but they couldn't quite put the nail in the coffin. It was an amazing comeback by OSU.

I don't know who I'd pick from start to finish, but from season to season I'd pick Central. What was their district record last year??

It's great to see that they've got the whole student-athlete thing in perspective.

I would put PNG at the top; Nederland and West Brook are not as strong as they have been in the past but they are still very good. Props to Lumberton as well.

We practiced yesterday but not today. I love practicing in the gym, but guys' basketball had one and girls' basketball had the other...

I've never had Diadora cleats but I guess I should try some. I like most of the synthetics by Adidas. Kangaroo leather always wears through and my Nike cleats basically fell apart.

I love indoor!! It helps so much with quick decision making and footwork. I've played up in austin but I had no idea that Beaumont was getting a court!!

But should these "football workouts" come at the expense of practicing for another sport?
