I see it as 1.Barbers Hill 2.Nederland 3.Lumberton 4.West Brook 5.Bridge City No offense to GCM just haven't heard much about them. Ive seen them play once this year for like 2 innings waiting for another game to start and didn't look to impressive
Im not so  sure West Brook belongs in this group...much less ahead of BC. I'd say BC, Silsbee, and Lumberton at 3,4, and 5
 2. Hard to believe we lost when BC had more errors than hits! crazy. Baseball's a funny sport! You can hit all night but if you cant get the runners across the plate you cant win. Our big hitters needed to step up with runners in scoring position and, 7th inning aside, we just couldn't do it. Come back hungry and get em next time boys!

 4. Great game to listen to, cant wait for round 2. Shoulda had that one boys. Keep your heads up and keep playin just like that!!!
 5. whats that now 6 runners left on base for silsbee? and it was second and third in the last 2. not good!
 6. Next couple years might be a little down, but the kids in 7th and 8th grade can straight BALL. might have a freshman or 2 see playing time on varsity for the first time in a while.
 7. Silsbee will be just fine! They need to learn to make adjustments at the plate when struggling, seems like we just went cold a couple games in that tournament, but I believe they'll get it together. And i wish XDog was the Bridge City coach, I'm sure Silsbee would be thrilled for your #4 pitcher to throw against them in district  ::). Especially after the fits Guidry gave us last year after seeing Lemoine the night before! Should be some entertaining baseball in 21-3a.
 8. anyone know whos pitching for these teams? I doubt either wants to show the other anything at this point in the season.
 9.
From a statistical standpoint: Silsbee missing 17 free throws, 19 three pointers, and 28 shots in the paint, was the difference in the ball game.
Wow, That's almost unbelievable to read...
 10. I wouldn't say it was a poorly called game. I think they were even on both teams, just inconsistent with what they called. some light fouls called and then other hard fouls they let slide. I don't think they knew what a travel or a charge was and that goes both ways. Free throws have been abysmal all year, so that was expected, but would have made a huge difference. also its extremely hard to fathom that we went 1 for 20 from 3 land with the likes of Holmes, Elam, and Wilson, all very capable 3 pt shooters. We couldnt buy a three. If Silsbee had the depth Yates had to replace those guys in foul trouble then this would have been a very different game. Thats the difference between a town of 6000 and a few million though i guess! Almost impossible to win when you have 3 or 4 key players with 3 fouls before the half. Great game to watch, congrats Silsbee, good luck Yates.
 11. That was an excellent game. That CS team is going to be a force to be reckoned with next year in their 2nd and final year of 3a. Starting 7 sophomores and 2 freshman and hitting well against a good BC pitching staff. Their youth showed in the field with quite a few critical errors, but that will be worked out with time. Good game and win by BC.
 12. I believe Tyler Davenport from Crosby is a senior
 13. McFarland gettin hit around pretty bad now. CS with another run across on a couple more hits and a sac fly.
 14. Whew this weather is miserable. Might be affecting these defenses a little. Both teams haves me excellent hitters
 15. Pretty windy out here right now, but the weather is pleasant! What time is the game?

Silsbee 3.HF/HJ Its hard to bet against BC ever when it comes to baseball. More studs moving in this year to replenish what they lost. I think Silsbee will give them a fun game as usual and have a chance, but I dont see anyone taking the district crown from them. As for third I dont know if Buna can do it after losing those players. HF has a bunch of good returning players, and with Duplant, likely the best pitcher in the district ahead of Guidry, back at HJ you have to think they have a shot. People seem to forget he won super gold mvp as a soph. in a tough 4a district...He will definitely make a huge impact. Gunna be fun, Good Luck Tigers!!!
Seems awful hard to say a player who hasn't thrown a varsity inning in over a year is better than a guy who helped carry his team 4 rounds deep in the playoffs, was in the top 3 in the state in ERA, top 20 in the state in strikeouts, and is signed to play Division 1 baseball. Just an observation. Not saying the talent isn't there but let's be a little more objective how about it? Rake1
Oh I wasn't taking anything away from Guidry, he's an exceptional pitcher, that's why I put his name in there, he shut my team down last year so I'll be the last one to say anything negative about him, I just think Duplant is better, but you're right he hasn't thrown in a year so we'll see! And congrats to guidry, Where did he sign?
That usually doesn't happen against HJ's pressure.
They don't usually play teams this athletic .
Last I checked they play Silsbee AT LEAST twice a year & Silsbee usually fields a quite athletic team.
This is the fastest/most athletic team Silsbee has fielded in quite a while. The whole team is extremely quick. Granted, it does sound like HJ's defense is playing very good.

 20. Wow, wasn't expecting that big of a win! If HJ lacks depth, they better hope those 7 who play the majority of the minutes are in REAL GOOD SHAPE come time for the Silsbee matchup! Good win HJ.
