I will never understand why we don't put points on the board whenever we can. We were well within field goal range two times and went for it. We could have had 6 points but instead got 0!! In playoffs, we need points anytime we can get them... All of that aside though, I am extremely proud of our Mustangs. The season they had could have easily been an excuse to slack. Instead, they picked themselves up and carried on the dream. I know for a fact that these boys have grown up this season. We are very proud of them!!

I work for the district and the game is Friday night. The district will have early release for it.

Coop... any word on the rain? Think we will see it Friday or Saturday night???

That is awesome! It will also give these boys a chance to play at the new Lamar facilities. Some of them may be considering trying to play for Lamar!

It is aggravating to see poor kick offs knowing there is someone that can kick them better!

I know for a fact Crew is capable of kick off. Not sure why he is not there. That's what he did on JV. He has the leg and consistency for it!!

I am gonna throw in Crew, the kicker for WOS. It may not be 1st team but he has done some good things this year!!

I agree... but it is true that even if they are super mentors, if they have a horrible track record of losing, they will not be with the district long enough for significant change! To me there has to be a balance of the two. You have to have a successful program as well as be a mentor for the athletes...

I think everyone can agree that our xp kicker has MUCH improved. He was 2 for 2 against K-Ville!  ;)

I think our kicking game has been severely overlooked in the recent years and should be given more attention than it is given. The kicking game could have helped us drastically in a few playoff games!

I can not imagine the pressure he feels out there. With him on the field getting ready to kick, I could literally feel my body get all tense and nervous for him! I imagine it is very different from kicking by yourself on the sidelines and not having those big heavy boys charging at you! I know the boy has been doing some good things at practice. I hope he is able to concentrate and keep it up at the game. I have faith in him and hope lots of fans do too. GO MUSTANGS!!!!
