You have got to be kidding me. Coach Hancock walked right through the middle of the Evadale boys and said "great job and good luck this year". He even apologized to them for missing them in line as he was finishing shaking the coaches hands from Evadale and got held up. Lets not be petty, and get your facts straight seriously. Great job though to Evadale, those boys look very solid and will only get better.

Super game by Evadale and not taking anything away from them AT ALL. But if High Island wasnt as injury plagued as they are this year it may have been a little closer in the long run. I am not saying Evadale would not have won, I am simply saying it would have been a closer game in the end.

well if they dont ask dumb questions, I will not give dumb answers! LOL Burkeville will win big in this game, #6 is a team of his own and combined with the rest of the kids they are pretty good.

I got Sabine Pass playing the best game of the year and winning by 2 points!

It was a good game, Cardinals almost ran the opening kickoff back but got stopped. It was a defensive matchup and Sabine Pass played very well and my hat goes off to them. There were A LOT of what could have been costly penalties on High Island, that with the great play of our defense luckily did not bite us. All in all it was a great game, both teams ran the ball very well, but in my opinion the story of the night was the defenses because both looked outstanding.

Evadale is a great football team with some great kids, but so are Burkeville, Sabine Pass, and High Island. Its going to be hard in a 4 team district to have 4 teams every year on the same caliber, especially in 1A football. These kids have worked hard all year and deserve a chance to play on. This year Evadale is in a league of their own, and its hard for any 1A program from this area to compete but how do you know next year or 5 years from now Burkeville or Sabine Pass wont dominate? Will your feelings change then???

It will be a good game, should be a lot of fun to watch!

I would love to know why High Island is a one man team? Sure with James (#20) being out for the year it does sting a little. But we still have talent on both sides of the ball that can pick up where he left off. Hunter Blake (#9) is a thundering herd within himself and also led the team in tackles last year. With the exception of the Woodlands Christian game, High Island has played good football on both sides of the ball. These boys are not going to quit and will work hard guaranteed. "You cannot replace a Gary Berteer" (Remember the Titans) just like "You cannot replace a James Lupeheke" but with 2 weeks to prepare for football without James, these boys may come out and shock you.
